JOB DESCRIPTION: 

Generous Brands is looking for a Social Media Manager to join our Social team. This role will work across brands (Health-Ade, Evolution Fresh, and Bolthouse Farms) at varying scale with support and guidance from internal team and external agency. To thrive in this role, you should love to build strategy, cultivate community, and get creative! You’re organized and love managing a monthly content calendar. You love engaging with consumers, creators, and other brands. You've got your finger on the online pulse and know the latest trends, formats, and best practices. JOB DUTIES:

  • Assist in development of social strategies across multiple brands and platforms (mainly IG + TT)
  • Manage monthly content calendar. Building, scheduling and posting for maximum impact!
  • Manage external agency and content sources, guiding strategy from a brand and social expert perspective. 
  • Grow and manage our community across platforms and brands, managing inbound/outbound comms, supporting creator relationships, identifying gifting opportunities and partnership/giveaway opportunities to execute on.
  • Ideate engaging content, ensuring it aligns with brand direction and helps fuel channel growth and engagement while following latest best practices and algorithms. 
  • Support social copy and caption building, integrating brand voice, timely references, and community relatable language.
  • Own social listening efforts, collecting and reporting on consumer feedback, competitor insights, and more. 
  • Support social reporting efforts and summarize monthly content efforts, learnings, and opportunities.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the social landscape and industry trends to deliver best-in-class, innovative concepts into the marketplace. You don’t want to just follow trends, you want to create them. 
  • Work collaboratively with the social team and various cross-functional partners across marketing and external agencies as needed to develop creatives that align with brand goals and strategies.
  • Other responsibilities as required.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Experience owning content strategy and ideation for a brand within the beverage, CPG, beauty, or like-minded space. 
  • Skilled in identifying trends, cultural moments, and brand storytelling opportunities that drive relevance, conversation, and engagement
  • Experience in community building and management.
  • Experience managing an external agency or content partners.
  • Excellent project management skills, organized, and able to work across multiple projects, brands, and timelines: posting one month’s content, scheduling another, and concepting on another. 
  • Proactive, with a keen attention to detail. A diligent quality checker, known to catch a typo or call out an error.
  • Great communication skills and comfortable sharing feedback with external agency partners and guiding strategy. 
  • Experience with social listening and customer service—actively monitoring conversations, sentiment, and cultural signals across platforms to identify opportunities, flag potential risks, and inform content and engagement strategy.
  • Experience with social reporting and scheduling tools such as Dash, Sprout, Trello etc. 
  • Comfortable using analytics, testing, and performance insights to optimize content and inform strategy.
  • Comfortable sharing ideas and participating in team discussions and brainstorming.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • 5+ years of experience in organic social media, including previous experience in a social media manager role, with a track record of proven social and content strategy that drives engagement and increased brand awareness. Especially a focus in developing a brand's social presence and taking it from point a to point b. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience supporting cross-functional collaboration for product launches or retail moments.
  • Understanding of the influencer ecosystem, social/PR gifting campaigns, and creator-driven amplification strategies
  • You bring energy, curiosity, and a creative, solutions-first mindset to everything you do—and thrive in collaborative environments where no two days are the same.
  • Experience working across multiple brands simultaneously is a plus! 
  • Content creation (vertical video, on camera, or meme/graphic) skills are a plus.

HOURS & WORKDAYS:

  • Full Time M-F
  • Available to manage inbound and outbound communications on holidays & weekends (as needed) to maintain inbox and social presence.
