We admire the importance of innovative social media strategies and are committed to connecting talented individuals with great companies that need their unique skills. Our mission is to provide great jobs to gifted people, regardless of location.

About the Client

Our client is a jewelry brand specializing in meaningful, personalized pieces designed to capture special moments and memories. With a focus on personalized products, product accuracy, inventory coordination, and reliable order fulfillment are essential to delivering a seamless customer experience.

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented, technically proficient E-Commerce Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day backend operations and help keep the business running smoothly. This role focuses on Shopify administration, inventory coordination, order accuracy, and operational task management.

You will work behind the scenes to maintain accurate product listings, coordinate with fulfillment teams, and ensure wholesale orders are processed and shipped correctly and on time. You will also serve as the operational link between the Sales Director and the fulfillment team, helping resolve discrepancies and maintain clear communication across departments.

This is a hands-on execution role best suited for someone who enjoys working independently, managing details, following established processes, and keeping operational systems organized and up to date. It is not a client-facing position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shopify Store Management: Maintain the Shopify backend, including product uploads, listings, images, descriptions, product information, and inventory updates.
  • Inventory Coordination: Work closely with the fulfillment team to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies, ensuring system records accurately reflect available stock.
  • Wholesale Order Coordination: Act as the operational liaison between the Sales Director and fulfillment team to ensure wholesale orders are accurate, complete, and ready for processing.
  • Order Fulfillment Oversight: Monitor order processing and shipping to help ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
  • Cross-Functional Communication: Coordinate with internal stakeholders to clarify order details, resolve operational issues, and keep workflows moving efficiently.
  • Task and Workflow Management: Track assignments, deadlines, and outstanding operational tasks in Asana, while using Slack for day-to-day communication.
  • Operational Backlog Management: Take ownership of pending administrative and operational tasks during slower periods, helping improve organization and maintain efficient workflows.
  • Process Accuracy and Organization: Maintain consistent records, follow established procedures, and proactively flag discrepancies or potential fulfillment issues.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on Shopify experience, particularly with backend administration, product management, listings, and inventory updates.
  • Experience coordinating inventory, order processing, fulfillment, or other e-commerce operations.
  • Comfortable using Asana to organize tasks, track progress, and manage deadlines.
  • Proficient with Slack for internal communication and coordination.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify inconsistencies and resolve issues accurately.
  • Highly organized and capable of managing multiple operational tasks independently.
  • Technically proficient, adaptable, and quick to learn new systems and tools.
  • Strong written communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams.
  • Reliable and proactive, with a strong sense of ownership over assigned responsibilities.
