Manage the end-to-end loan settlement pipeline from conditional approval to post-settlement closure. Coordinate with lenders, solicitors, and valuers to ensure all documentation is accurate and deadlines are met.
This is a fully remote Settlements Officer role with a high-volume Australian mortgage broking firm, offering a stable long-term position where you will own the settlement process end to end and build deep expertise in the Australian lending space.
Manage loan files from conditional approval through to settlement, tracking all outstanding conditions and deadlines
Coordinate with lenders, solicitors and conveyancers, and valuers to ensure timely completion of all settlement requirements
Order and follow up on property valuations, title searches, and insurance documentation
Verify that all settlement conditions are satisfied and documentation is accurate before booking
Book settlements and confirm details with all relevant parties
Escalate and resolve settlement delays, discrepancies, and issues as they arise
Maintain and update CRM records, pipeline trackers, and settlement logs
Support post-settlement administration including discharge processing and file closure
Prior experience in an Australian mortgage broking settlement or loan processing role is required
Strong working knowledge of the Australian settlement process, lender requirements, and documentation standards
Familiarity with lender portals, trust accounting requirements, and broker compliance frameworks
Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace
MyCRM and other LMG aggregator tools are highly regarded.
Ability to independently manage a high volume of files with competing deadlines
Strong attention to detail and composure under pressure
Clear written and verbal communication skills for liaising with lenders, solicitors, and internal teams
Stable work-from-home setup (reliable internet, laptop/desktop, quiet workspace)
Proactive attitude, able to follow up lenders, solicitors, and third parties without being prompted
Ability to work Australian business hours and meet time-sensitive settlement deadlines
