ABOUT THE ROLE

At Sandvik Mining & Construction, we are looking for an experienced Service Supervisor to support our expanding Surface Drill Rig service operations across the UK. JOB SUMMARY

As a Service Supervisor UK, you will undertake a true working supervisor role, leading from the front while supporting and coordinating field service technicians. You will be responsible for maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, machine inspections, commissioning activities and customer support, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standard.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and support UK field service technicians. 
• Carry out maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs. 
• Coordinate and prioritise service activities. 
• Provide technical guidance and coaching. 
• Build strong customer relationships. 
• Ensure compliance with EHS and company standards. 
• Support commissioning and inspection activities. 
• Promote a proactive safety-first culture. 
• Work closely with Service Administration to deliver an excellent customer experience.

PROFILE

You will have a strong engineering or plant maintenance background together with excellent communication and leadership skills. You will be comfortable working independently, supporting customers and leading by example while maintaining Sandvik standards of safety and operational excellence.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• NVQ Level 3 in Engineering, Plant Maintenance or equivalent. 
• Extensive experience as a Plant Service Technician or similar. 
• Strong EHS knowledge and commitment to safety. 
• Excellent communication and report writing skills. 
• Customer-focused approach. 
• Flexibility to travel, including overnight stays and occasional weekend working.
