ServiceNow Developer

Job Purpose

We are seeking a skilled ServiceNow Developer with a minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience to design, develop, and implement solutions on the ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Customer Service Management (CSM), Knowledge Management (Knowledge Base), IT Service Management (ITSM), and ServiceNow Communities.

Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement ServiceNow solutions aligned with business requirements
• Customize and configure modules including CSM, ITSM, Knowledge Base, and ServiceNow Communities
• Develop workflows, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, and integrations
• Maintain and enhance existing ServiceNow applications and services
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Ensure platform best practices, performance optimization, and scalability
• Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues and defects
• Support platform upgrades, testing, and deployments
• Create and maintain technical documentation

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 4 years of ServiceNow development experience
• Strong hands-on experience with:
•  Customer Service Management (CSM)
• IT Service Management (ITSM)
• Knowledge Management / Knowledge Base
• ServiceNow Communities (Service Portal experience is a plus)
• Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide API, and ServiceNow scripting
• Experience with REST/SOAP integrations
• Good understanding of ServiceNow data model and platform capabilities
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies

Desirable Skills

• Knowledge of CMDB (Configuration Management Database) and asset management
• Experience with ServiceNow Discovery or Service Mapping
• Experience with Knowledge Centred Services (KCS) methodology
• ServiceNow certifications (e.g., CSA, CAD)
• Experience with UI Builder or modern ServiceNow UX frameworks

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in ITIL-based service management environments.
• Experience with scripting, automation, and ServiceNow AI capabilities.
• ServiceNow Administrator Certification (CSA) is an advantage; Advanced certifications (CIS-ITSM, CIS-CSM, or CIS-ITOM) are a plus.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect or similar professional experience is highly desirable.
