As a Service Business Student, you’ll embark on a dynamic learning journey, gaining hands-on experience and valuable insights into various aspects of the business & creative agency world.    

This role is designed for college students eager to launch their careers, offering exposure to both the creative and business world through Daktronics Creative Services while fostering professional growth and development. You’ll be paired with a mentor who will encourage you to think critically, take initiative, and build a strong foundation in Daktronics’ products, practices, and procedures. As part of Creative Services, this position will focus on account & project management tasks within the HSPR market, as well as assisting with developing and reporting the financial reports for the entire Creative Services division.  

Experiences will take place following areas:   

• Sales Administration   

• Sales Coordination   

• Account Management  

• Project Management  

• Other work as assigned  

When will I work? 

Applicants should be available to work approximately 15 hours per week (maximum of 20 hours per week) during the academic year and up to 40 hours per week during the summer. 

Where is this opportunity located?  

While all responsibilities can be performed remotely, preference is given to candidates residing near our corporate headquarters in Brookings, South Dakota. This position is open to candidates eligible to work in the U.S.  

What are the pay and perks? 

The typical hiring range for this position is $14.00 to $15.00 per hour based on the location of Brookings, South Dakota. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including relevant education, experiences, location, and applicable local legislation.  

Students with GPA of 3.5 and above may be eligible for a $500 Academic Excellence Reward for each spring and fall semester completed while employed.  Additional conditions may apply.

Qualifications

To be considered for the Service Business Student position, we require the following: 

Academic Requirements: 

• The preferred applicant will be a student registered in at least 12 credits.  

• Applicants must be currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s degree program in Business, Management, Entrepreneurial Studies, Journalism, Creative Design or a closely related field. 

• The preferred applicant will be in their sophomore or junior year of school.

• Only strong academic performers will be considered and must maintain an acceptable GPA of 2.5 or higher.  

• Unofficial transcripts or web transcripts must be submitted with application. 

Other Requirements:  

• Work Availability:  

• Approximately 15 hours per week during the academic year (maximum of 20 hours).  

• Up to 40 hours per week during the summer.  

• Skills & Attributes:  

• Self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative.  

• Reliable and capable of working independently while maintaining productivity in a remote environment.  

• Eager to learn and contribute to new projects, including the use of unfamiliar software and tools.  

• Adaptable to shifting priorities and evolving responsibilities.  

• Proficient in general computer use, including accurate keyboarding skills.  

• Strong oral and written communication skills.  

• Fluent in English, both written and verbal.  

• Eligibility:
