Summary
We're a boutique London marketing agency helping SMEs compete with bigger players. We need a hands-on, detail-obsessed VA to help us execute SEO, AEO/GEO and web content work for our agency and our clients. You'll be working from briefs and AI-assisted drafts that we provide, and your job is to bring the web dev and SEO expertise to turn those into published, on-brand, technically sound work: not to generate content from scratch with no oversight.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- On-page and technical SEO: keyword research, meta data, internal linking, crawl/speed/mobile fixes, monthly reporting
- AEO/GEO optimisation: answer-first content structure, FAQ/Article/ Organization schema, checking AI crawler access, citation tracking
- Build and publish landing pages in WordPress (or similar) from our briefs
- Polish, format, and publish SEO blog posts from AI-assisted drafts
- Keep our shared tracker updated and flag issues early
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
- Real WordPress build experience (or equivalent CMS) and basic HTML/CSS
- Confident using Google Search Console, Google Analytics and an SEO tool (SE Ranking, Ahrefs or SEMrush)
- You understand schema markup and can implement it, not just describe it
- Excellent written English; happy to follow a documented brand style guide
- Comfortable using AI tools (ChatGPT/Claude) to accelerate drafting, but you always fact-check and polish before anything goes live
Elementor experience is highly preferred.
The client specifically mentioned Elementor as a key tool and would ideally like someone who can confidently build and edit pages using Elementor.
Experience with other WordPress page builders or CMS platforms is useful, but strong WordPress/Elementor experience should be prioritized.
Communication & Collaboration
The client expects the VA to work collaboratively rather than simply waiting for instructions.
The general workflow will be:
Client provides strategy/roadmap → VA executes tasks → VA reports progress/issues → Client provides feedback → VA implements updates
The client expects to have regular check-ins, potentially weekly meetings, to:
The VA should therefore be comfortable working independently while knowing when to ask for help.
Communication Tools
The client currently uses:
The exact communication workflow can be finalized during onboarding
Hours
Initial commitment:
10 hours per week for approximately the first 2–3 weeks
This will allow the client to:
Potential increase:
If the initial engagement is successful, the client expects to increase the VA's workload to approximately:
20–25 hours per week
This will likely happen once the VA begins supporting client websites as well.
Long-term:
The role is intended to be ongoing if the collaboration is successful.
Working Time Zone
The client is based in London, UK.
The VA should be located in a timezone that allows for several hours of overlap with UK working hours (09:00–17:00 GMT/BST).
The VA should be available for regular communication and weekly meetings during mutually agreed working hours.
HOW TO APPLY
In your proposal, tell us:
(1) one WordPress site you've built end to end and what your role was,
(2) one example where you optimised a page or post for SEO and what changed,
(3) whether you've implemented schema markup before and on what.
Applications that ignore these three questions won't be shortlisted. We'll ask shortlisted candidates to complete a short, paid test task before any ongoing commitment.
