The engineer will manage after-hours ticket handovers, respond to client incidents, and perform proactive system optimization. They will also handle Microsoft 365 administration, cyber security tasks, and maintain accurate documentation.

Full-time | Remote (Philippines) | After Hours Support (AU) - Night Shift Schedule

Join a growing Australian managed IT services provider, specializing in cloud, cyber security and automation, in a fully remote after-hours role with real room to grow as one of the team's first offshore engineers. Working overnight in the Australian time zone, you will take over ticket handovers from the onshore team, respond to client incidents as they arise, and use the quieter periods to drive proactive optimization across the environments you support.

Day to day you will work across the full support lifecycle, from triaging and resolving tickets through to Microsoft 365 administration, basic cloud and security tasks, and keeping documentation accurate, with the chance to take on more technical project work over time. The ideal person is a proactive, technically switched on support engineer who is comfortable working independently overnight and stays calm when a client incident lands on their desk.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take over after hours ticket handovers from the onshore Australian team and keep tickets moving through to resolution or clear next steps.

  • Respond to client incidents as they come in overnight, triaging, troubleshooting and escalating where needed to keep client environments stable.

  • Use quieter overnight periods for proactive optimization and monitoring work that improves the performance and reliability of client systems.

  • Support day to day Microsoft 365 administration across common services such as

  • Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams and user accounts.

  • Assist with cyber security tasks aligned to frameworks such as the Essential Eight, including basic remediation and following managed SOC processes.

  • Help with cloud and automation work where needed, for example basic Azure tasks or

  • Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) support, with room to grow into more.

  • Log activity accurately in the ticketing and CRM systems and keep documentation and knowledge base articles up to date.

  • Proactively surface issues, follow ups and improvements the onshore team may not have spotted, contributing to overnight project work as well as reactive support.

What We Are Looking For

  • Solid IT support or managed services experience, ideally around five years or more, gained within an MSP or managed IT services environment.

  • A sound understanding of ticketing workflows and the managed services support process, from incident through to resolution.

  • Microsoft 365 administration experience is highly regarded, as Microsoft 365 is core to the business's managed services offering.

  • Familiarity with managed SOC, the Essential Eight or other cyber security frameworks is a strong plus.

  • Exposure to Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate), Azure, Dynamics 365 or cloud engineering environments is preferred.

  • Comfortable working with CRM and ticketing systems and with Microsoft Office or

  • Google Workspace, with a preference for candidates who hold a bachelor's degree.

  • Genuinely proactive and switched on, with strong organization and the ability to manage competing priorities across a shift.

  • Comfortable working overnight or after hours shifts on a rotating roster, taking ownership of incidents with minimal supervision.

  • Excellent written and spoken English.

  • Demonstrated employment stability, with a preference for candidates who have remained with previous employers for approximately two years or more.

  • A genuine interest in establishing a long-term career within our business and growing alongside the team.

  • Stable work-from-home setup (reliable internet, laptop or desktop, quiet workspace), able to work overnight or after-hours shifts aligned to Australian business needs.

Requirements

  • Stable work-from-home setup (reliable internet, laptop/desktop, quiet workspace)

  • Proactive attitude, able to follow up clients, lenders, and third parties without being prompted

  • Available to work on a rotational shift schedule, including night shifts (Mon-Sun).

Benefits

  • Full-time, work-from-home

  • Long-term, stable role with a busy, growing broking business

  • Training and support provided
