What you will do:

• Provide day-to-day SATOPS technical support for operations, maintenance, sustainment, and mission execution activities.
• Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on SATCOM systems, satellite gateway infrastructure, and associated communications equipment.
• Test, troubleshoot, configure, validate, and restore SATCOM, RF, network, cabling, power, hardware, and supporting infrastructure.
• Assist site and shift personnel with system faults, operational issues, outage response, and return-to-service activities to maintain system availability.
• Install, replace, configure, upgrade, relocate, integrate, and test communications equipment in support of technology refresh and modernization efforts.
• Coordinate maintenance and technical support with site personnel, NOCs, engineering teams, vendors, manufacturers, and Government stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain rack elevations, equipment inventories, cable records, system/network diagrams, installation records, as-built documentation, and configuration baselines.
• Support logistics and lifecycle management including spare equipment, repair/replacement coordination, equipment condition assessments, obsolescence tracking, and modernization recommendations.
• Coordinate equipment staging, configuration, installation, integration, testing, transition, and disposition while minimizing operational impact.
• Travel to geographically dispersed locations for maintenance, troubleshooting, installations, upgrades, modernization, and operational support.

What you will bring:

• Experience operating, maintaining, or supporting SATCOM systems, satellite gateways, satellite ground terminals, telecommunications infrastructure, or other mission-critical communications systems.
• Hands-on experience installing, maintaining, configuring, testing, and troubleshooting SATCOM, RF, network, cabling, and supporting infrastructure.
• Working knowledge of RF systems, antennas, modems, IP networking, routing and switching, structured cabling, fiber optics, and communications facility infrastructure.
• Ability to diagnose faults across interconnected SATCOM, RF, network, power, and communications systems and perform preventive and corrective maintenance in operational environments.
• Experience with technical drawings, rack elevations, cable documentation, equipment inventories, configuration management, maintenance records, and lifecycle planning.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, system diagrams, and maintenance documentation.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with operators, technicians, engineers, vendors, customers, and Government personnel.
• Experience supporting U.S. Government or DoD SATCOM, 24/7/365 operations, Network Operations Centers, satellite gateway operations, or field modernization efforts preferred.
• Ability to work independently at remote locations and as part of a technical operations team in fast-paced, mission-critical environments.
• Active security clearance is required. Must be willing and able to travel domestically and internationally as mission requirements dictate.
