The Senior Software Engineer designs and delivers applications — primarily web-based — in adherence to established coding standards and guidelines. The role probes to gauge what clients state and what they leave unsaid, then shapes those needs into system requirements the team can build against.
Working from a deep understanding of the domain, the incumbent improves functionality and drives meaningful enhancements across the application portfolio, operating with working knowledge of performance bottlenecks, production infrastructure, interfaces, and product dependencies.
· Apply a sound understanding of the software development lifecycle, the broader application development landscape, and the relevant business domain to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions.
· Create project plans for small-scale initiatives and take end-to-end ownership of assigned modules, independently developing features using the approved technology stack.
· Apply structured troubleshooting and debugging practices to resolve issues with speed and efficiency.
· Review peer code and recommend improvements in quality, performance, and maintainability.
· Participate fully in Agile ceremonies, operating in line with the principles of the Agile manifesto.
· Design and develop database solutions, establish database objects, and carry out performance tuning.
· Work with configuration management tooling to uphold CM practices and processes.
· Adhere to the QA standards defined by the organization across every stage of delivery.
· Stakeholder partnership — Understands and meets stakeholder requirements, bringing contextual nuance into deliverables to act as a genuine partner to all concerned parties.
· Delivery ownership — Monitors own work against defined performance standards, recognizes the importance of delivering to time, budget, and quality expectations, and escalates deviations promptly.
· Continuous learning — Takes initiative in developing technical and behavioral capability; reflects on and learns from both personal and shared experience.
· Openness to improvement — Welcomes new ideas and differing perspectives, and constructively challenges routines or procedures that appear inefficient.
· Adaptability — Adjusts effectively to different cultures and unfamiliar situations, thinks on their feet, and demonstrates a sense of urgency in completing deliverables.
· Collaboration — Promotes openness and dialogue, encourages participation in team and organizational decisions, motivates colleagues, and fosters pride and positivity in the work. Conducts themselves professionally and respects the views of others.
· Goal orientation — Works with focus toward assigned goals and targets, seeks regular feedback, and proposes ways to improve how work is carried out.
· Analytical thinking — Decomposes problems into manageable parts and selects the best course of action based on available information.
· Communication — Demonstrates strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage customers, onshore counterparts, supervisors, team members, business analysts, and business stakeholders.

· Source code management with Git
· Strong working knowledge of AWS
· Working knowledge of PostgreSQL and DynamoDB
