Job Overview 

We are looking for an expert Senior SAP Finance Consultant with deep retail industry experience. You will lead the design, implementation, and support of SAP S/4HANA Finance solutions. You will work closely with retail business leaders to improve financial processes, reporting, and system performance. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Lead Implementations: Lead end-to-end SAP FI/CO implementations and upgrades for large-scale retail operations. 
  
• Process Optimization: Improve core financial processes like General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Asset Accounting. 
  
• Retail Integration: Connect SAP Finance with Point of Sale (POS), inventory management, and merchandise planning systems. 
  
• Cost Management: Set up Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, and Profitability Analysis (CO-PA) suited for retail margins. 
  
• Stakeholder Management: Work with finance directors and store operations teams to gather business requirements and turn them into system solutions. 
  
• Team Mentorship: Guide junior and mid-level functional consultants and review their configuration work. 
  

Requirements

Required Qualifications & Experience 

• Experience: 10–20 years of hands-on SAP FI/CO experience, with at least 5–7 years in the retail or consumer goods sector. 
  
• Project History: Successfully delivered at least 3 to 4 full-lifecycle SAP implementation projects. 
  
• S/4HANA Expertise: Strong practical experience in SAP S/4HANA Finance (Universal Journal, Central Finance). 
  
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field. 
  
• Certification: Official SAP Certification in Financial Accounting (FI) or Management Accounting (CO) is strongly preferred. 
  

Technical & Functional Skills 

• Deep knowledge of SAP FI modules (FI-GL, FI-AP, FI-AR, FI-AA). 
  
• Deep knowledge of SAP CO modules (CO-CCA, CO-PCA, Product Costing).
  
• Understanding of retail-specific financial challenges, such as high-volume transaction processing, multi-store accounting, and seasonal revenue recognition. 
  
• Knowledge of integration points with SAP MM (Materials Management), SD (Sales and Distribution), and CAR (Customer Activity Repository). 
  
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to present complex financial data to non-technical leaders.
