ABOUT THE ROLE:

Millsapps, Ballinger & Associates (MB&A) is seeking a Senior Salesforce Solution Lead / Functional Architect to support the delivery of Salesforce-based mission solutions for federal customers. This role is responsible for working directly with customer stakeholders, MB&A leadership, product owners, architects, technical teams, and external partners to translate mission needs into clear Salesforce requirements, user stories, process flows, acceptance criteria, delivery priorities, and adoption plans.

The ideal candidate is a senior Salesforce consultant, business systems analyst, solution lead, or functional architect who understands how to bridge business needs and Salesforce delivery. This person does not need to be the primary hands-on developer, but must have enough Salesforce platform fluency to guide solution conversations, identify risks, communicate tradeoffs, and ensure implementation teams are building toward the right business outcome.

This role is designed for a customer-facing Salesforce delivery professional who enjoys discovery, problem-solving, backlog development, UAT, stakeholder alignment, and helping federal customers adopt practical mission-focused solutions.

YOU WANT TO:

  • Make a significant impact by helping federal customers translate mission needs into usable Salesforce solutions.
  • Work directly with stakeholders to understand business challenges, operational workflows, and delivery priorities.
  • Turn ambiguous requirements into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and implementation-ready backlog items.
  • Partner with architects, developers, administrators, product owners, project leaders, and external vendors in an Agile delivery environment.
  • Support a full solution lifecycle from discovery and design through implementation, UAT, adoption, enhancement, and sustainment.
  • Help customers adopt Salesforce solutions that improve visibility, consistency, reporting, and operational execution.
  • Work in a role that combines business analysis, solution design, Agile delivery, user enablement, and customer-facing consulting.

YOU WILL:

  • Lead stakeholder discovery sessions and translate federal customer needs into Salesforce requirements.
  • Document business processes, mission workflows, user journeys, decision points, and operational handoffs.
  • Write clear user stories, acceptance criteria, backlog items, test scenarios, and functional requirements.
  • Support backlog refinement, sprint planning, demos, UAT planning, UAT execution, defect triage, and release readiness.
  • Coordinate across MB&A teams, customer stakeholders, and external implementation or integration partners.
  • Support implementation and configuration of MB&A AppExchange products including ExAM4Enterprise and ExAM4Inspections.
  • Help ensure the delivered Salesforce solution is usable, supportable, well-documented, and aligned to federal delivery expectations.

YOU HAVE:

  • Experience working as a Salesforce Business Analyst, Senior Business Systems Analyst, Salesforce Consultant, Product Owner, Solution Lead, or Functional Architect.
  • Experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, process documentation, and implementation-ready backlog items.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities, including objects, fields, page layouts, flows, reports, dashboards, permissions, roles, profiles, permission sets, and declarative automation.
  • Experience participating in Agile software delivery environments.
  • Experience supporting UAT, demos, sprint reviews, backlog refinement, and release planning.
  • Experience working on cross-functional teams in a consulting, government, or enterprise environment.
  • Ability to hold Public Trust clearance.

YOU MUST HAVE THE ABILITY TO:

  • Manage time and schedule independently and in accordance with policies and expectations.
  • Maintain a quiet working space with the ability to be on camera as needed.
  • Use Google Suite tools, including Chat, Gmail, Calendar, and Drive.
  • Use Agile tools to maintain and refine backlogs.

YOU MIGHT HAVE:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Public Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification.
  • Salesforce Business Analyst Certification.
  • Salesforce Platform App Builder Certification.
  • Salesforce OmniStudio Consultant Certification.
  • Salesforce AI Associate or Agentforce-related certification.
  • Prosci, change management, Agile, Scrum, or Product Owner certification.
  • Experience supporting the Department of Commerce, Department of Veterans Affairs, Department of Defense, or other federal agencies.
  • Experience supporting GovCloud, FedRAMP, Public Trust, or other regulated environments.
