About You

You enjoy turning complex business needs into software that people find useful and straightforward. You can take customer discovery and requirements, explore possible solutions, and create prototypes that help a team decide what to build. You bring initiative, sound judgment, and the ability to move work forward with limited direction. 

You already use AI tools substantially in your work. You use them to explore ideas, build prototypes, and take on work beyond your usual responsibilities, while applying your own judgment to the results. 

How the position fits in the organization 

You will work alongside our existing Product Manager and partner closely with the CTO, engineers, and business stakeholders. Your initial emphasis will be on translating discovery and requirements into clear workflows, testable prototypes, and work the engineering team can deliver. 

The division of responsibilities will evolve with your strengths and the team’s needs. This is an individual contributor role with broad influence across the product development process. 

Key contributions 

• Turn customer insights and business requirements into solution concepts, user journeys, and prototypes. 

• Simplify complex workflows involving agricultural production, commodity markets, and risk management. 

• Use prototypes to test assumptions and gather feedback before committing to implementation. 

• Work with engineering to define scope, make tradeoffs, and break larger initiatives into useful increments. 

• Coordinate delivery by clarifying decisions, tracking dependencies, and helping resolve obstacles. 

• Define success measures and use feedback and product data to improve what we ship. 

• Use AI tools to accelerate research synthesis, explore alternative solutions, and build working demonstrations. 

What you bring 

• Experience developing technology products in close partnership with software engineers. 

• Strong product judgment and the ability to translate ambiguous requirements into understandable workflows. 

• Practical UX and prototyping skills. You can communicate and test a solution without needing to produce polished visual designs. 

• Clear communication and the ability to coordinate work across business and technical teams. 

• A substantial existing AI workflow, with examples of how it has improved your work or expanded what you can do. 

• Ownership of outcomes and a willingness to learn unfamiliar parts of the business. 

Experience in agriculture, commodities, financial services, or insurance is helpful. We value demonstrated capability over a fixed number of years or a particular degree. 

Tools you will use 

You will use prototyping, product planning, and collaboration tools alongside AI assistants. We are pragmatic about tools and welcome better ways to explore solutions and deliver useful software.
