Senior Product Designer (f/m/d)

Your mission

Your mission is to reimagine complex, data-heavy B2B/ERP software for over 50,000 e-commerce merchants in an AI-native world.
As a Senior Product Designer, you go beyond delivering high-quality UI/UX—you actively shape product direction, experience quality, and design strategy. You evolve and scale our design system, bring strong user-centered methods into our process, and raise the overall bar for design execution.
You also support and mentor other designers, helping strengthen skills across the team and building a consistent, high-quality design culture.

 At JTL, AI-assisted design is not optional - it's how we create. UX/UI Designers on our team actively use tools like Figma AI, AI-Prototyping or design assistants as part of their daily workflow.  

 What this means in practice:  

• You use AI assistants and generative tools to accelerate wireframing, prototyping, design exploration, and asset creation - and you know when to rely on your own design instincts.  
• You'recomfortable with AI-driven workflows: giving AI tools high-level design prompts, critically evaluating their output, and iterating based on your design expertise.  
• You stay curious about new AI-assisted design approaches and actively experiment with integrating them into your process.

Your Responsibilities:

• You develop and scale design systems across multiple products (patterns, tokens, components).
• You actively apply UX methods such as user research, journey mapping, and usability testing in product development.
• You structure complex or ambiguous problem spaces and derive clear UX strategies.
• You present and confidently communicate design decisions to teams and leadership.
• You mentor junior and mid-level designers and help raise the overall design quality.
• You drive iterative product improvements based on user feedback and data.

Your profile

• You have 5+ years of experience in UI/UX design, including ideally 2+ years in a senior or lead role.
• You are proficient in Figma and have experience with AI-assisted design tools (e.g.Figma AI, Galileo, Midjourney, ChatGPT/Claude for UX writing, or comparable).  
• You have strong experience in B2B environments with complex, data-heavy applications.
• You have a strong portfolio and at rack record of shipping real products.
• You have experience applying UX methods to inform product decisions.
• You have proven experience in designing AI-powered features, conversational UIs, and integrating AI into product workflows.
• You have experience designing AI-driven workflows or integrating large language model(LLM) capabilities into design processes.
• You are able to own and evolve a design system across multiple products, not just consume one.
• You are comfortable navigating ambiguity, structuring complex problems, and working independently.
• You are fluent in English.
• You are open for business trips or live ideally near Berlin or Cologne.
