About Massive Bio
Every cancer patient deserves access to treatment options. Massive Bio is an AI-powered precision oncology platform that eliminates the structural barriers of geography, financial constraints, and information asymmetry that have historically limited enrollment in clinical trials.
Founded in 2015 and headquartered in the United States, Massive Bio is scaling its impact globally by expanding operations across multiple countries and bringing world-class cancer treatment options to a rapidly growing and diverse patient population. Through our proprietary AI platform, we connect patients to clinical trials worldwide and build strategic partnerships with leading pharmaceutical companies, contract research organizations (CROs), and healthcare systems to accelerate drug development and expand equitable access to innovative therapies.
About the Role
This senior position sits at the intersection of clinical medicine, clinical research, and AI-powered healthcare technology, requiring both clinical depth and the capacity to represent the company at the highest levels.
The physician selected for this role will provide clinical review and quality assurance within the patient-to-trial matching process of our AI-powered platform — validating AI-abstracted clinical data against source medical records, assessing patient eligibility against trial criteria, and applying expert clinical judgment to identify nuances that may affect outcomes. This work will be carried out in close collaboration with Clinical Operations, Product, and Engineering teams, contributing directly to the scientific integrity of our AI-driven matching processes.
What distinguishes this role is that it extends beyond clinical review: this person will represent Massive Bio before pharmaceutical companies, CROs, and industry stakeholders, joining senior-level meetings alongside the CEO or, when required, independently. We are therefore looking for an experienced, well-regarded physician who can present clinical authority with confidence and impact in a corporate setting.
Responsibilities
Review and validate AI-abstracted clinical data — including diagnosis, disease stage, biomarkers, treatment history, laboratory results, and imaging findings — against source medical records for accuracy and completeness.
Evaluate patient eligibility against clinical trial inclusion and exclusion criteria, forming the scientific backbone of the patient-to-trial matching process.
Serve as a clinical quality assurance checkpoint within the human-in-the-loop (HITL) review process, identifying abstraction errors, edge cases, and potential misinterpretations of trial criteria.
Apply expertise in oncology and hematology to assess clinical details that may affect eligibility, including prior treatment history, treatment sequencing, biomarker requirements, comorbidities, and staging considerations.
Collaborate with the Clinical Operations team on referral-to-enrollment workflows to confirm that matched patients meet the relevant clinical criteria.
Document clinical findings clearly and consistently for both clinical and non-clinical stakeholders.
Work with Product and Engineering teams to communicate recurring data or interpretation issues and contribute to the continuous improvement of AI-driven clinical matching workflows.
Join senior-level meetings with pharmaceutical companies, CROs, and industry stakeholders — alongside the CEO or independently — representing the company's clinical and scientific position.
Represent the company confidently and independently at conferences, advisory board meetings, and scientific discussions with pharma partners.
Provide accurate, well-grounded responses to clinical questions that arise in these engagements.
What We're Looking For
MD or equivalent medical degree.
Senior, proven clinical background in oncology and/or hematology.
Ability to review and interpret real-world medical records, including EHR data, pathology reports, imaging reports, laboratory results, and treatment histories.
Strong clinical reasoning and analytical attention to detail when interpreting complex or incomplete clinical information.
Advanced English proficiency — able to communicate clinical and scientific content fluently in high-level, international settings.
An established, active professional network within the oncology/hematology and clinical research community.
Confidence, maturity, and experience representing an organization in meetings with senior executives and external stakeholders, whether accompanied or independent.
Genuine intellectual interest in the application of AI and machine learning in healthcare.
Ability to operate strategically at the intersection of clinical judgment, data, and technology.
