What You’ll Be Doing

The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting Percepta's global enterprise network across on-premises and AWS cloud environments. In this role, you'll provide technical leadership for routing, switching, firewalls, wireless infrastructure, SD-WAN, and cloud networking while helping drive our transition to a modern, cloud-first architecture. Working closely with Infrastructure, Security, and Systems teams, you'll ensure our network remains secure, scalable, and highly available while contributing to strategic technology initiatives and continuous improvement.

During a Typical Day, You'll

  • Design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure across data centers, branch locations, and AWS cloud environments.
  • Administer and optimize Palo Alto Networks firewalls, VPN connectivity, and network security policies to maintain a secure environment.
  • Manage Cisco Nexus and Meraki networking infrastructure, including routing, switching, SD-WAN, and WAN connectivity.
  • Design and maintain AWS networking components, including VPCs, Transit Gateway, hybrid connectivity, and network segmentation.
  • Monitor network performance, troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, and provide Tier III technical support for critical incidents.
  • Partner with Security, Systems, and Cloud teams to support enterprise infrastructure, network services, and cloud migration initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain network architecture documentation, diagrams, standards, and operational procedures.
  • Lead network infrastructure projects, technology upgrades, and data center migration activities while ensuring minimal business disruption.
  • Evaluate emerging networking technologies and recommend improvements that enhance security, performance, and scalability.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to support critical business operations and maintain high network availability.

What You Bring to the Role

  • Bachelor's degree in Networking, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of enterprise network engineering experience supporting complex, multi-site environments.
  • Strong experience with Cisco networking technologies, including routing, switching, SD-WAN, and BGP/OSPF routing protocols.
  • Hands-on experience administering Palo Alto Networks firewalls, VPNs, and network security solutions.
  • Experience designing and supporting AWS networking, including VPCs, Transit Gateway, hybrid connectivity, and cloud security.
  • Working knowledge of enterprise networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and network segmentation.
  • Experience with network monitoring, troubleshooting, documentation, and change management best practices.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools, network automation, or scripting (Terraform, CloudFormation, Python, or Ansible) is preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as CCNP, PCNSE, AWS Solutions Architect, or AWS Advanced Networking Specialty are a plus.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

A Bit More About the Position

This is a 100%25 remote position based in Mexico. To support occasional business needs, candidates must reside within a commutable distance of our Mexico City office, as periodic onsite meetings, team collaboration, or other business activities may be required.
