Our Mission

Transforming lives through Service, Technology and Philanthropy

What We Are Up To

As part of our 'One Agiliant' vision, we are building a unified organization where business strategy, service delivery, engineering, and client success work together as a single team focused on delivering exceptional customer support.

We believe technology should be predictable, proactive, secure, and aligned to business objectives. Through collaboration, innovation, automation, and accountability, we help organizations leverage technology so they can focus on their business outcomes.

Agiliant specializes in serving mid-market organizations with approximately 100–500 employees, often operating across multiple locations and states with complex technology, network, security, cloud, and operational requirements.

Our Philosophy

Our organization is built on strong relationships. We are committed to family, trust, creativity, kindness, generosity, community, personal and professional balance. Our environment is built on growth and sustainable success through leadership and innovation. We support a culture that makes an impact in both business and community.

Our Engineering Model

Agiliant's engineering organization is designed around clear technical leadership, strong domain ownership, and strategic use of technology and delivery partners. The Senior MSP Engineer provides overall technical leadership, architecture, standards, complex escalation, and project/change leadership.

The team is supported by Agiliant's NOC, Microsoft CSP, SOC/MDR, and specialized implementation partners, allowing our internal engineers to focus on technical ownership, customer outcomes, complex engineering, and continuous improvement.

Role Summary

The Senior MSP Engineer (L4) serves as Agiliant's senior technical authority and highest level of engineering escalation. Reporting to the Director of IT, this role provides technical leadership across the engineering organization, establishes engineering standards, mentors engineering resources, and makes or guides complex technical decisions across Microsoft cloud, infrastructure, networking, and security.

The role is also a key technical leader for customer projects and change initiatives - providing architecture, solution design, technical scoping, BOM/SOW input, and implementation leadership while working closely with Agiliant's Network & Security Engineer, Systems Administrator Engineer, NOC, Microsoft CSP, SOC/MDR, and implementation partners. While the domain engineers focus primarily on the ongoing health and consistency of managed environments, the Senior MSP Engineer provides the senior technical leadership, architecture, and project expertise that moves those environments forward.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

  • Serve as the highest level of technical escalation for complex customer issues and lead root-cause analysis and resolution of critical incidents.
  • Provide overall technical guidance across engineering; mentor engineers and Service Desk staff and help determine when work should remain internal versus escalate to the NOC, CSP, SOC/MDR, or other specialists.
  • Establish and maintain engineering standards, processes, documentation, and best practices.
  • Advise on customer Change Advisory Board (CAB), Security Committee, and AI Committee discussions as appropriate.
  • Participate in technical strategy, roadmap planning, and budgeting with the SAM/client leadership team.
  • Understand how Microsoft ecosystem, architecture, storage, licensing, and solution decisions affect customer budgets and operating outcomes.

Microsoft Cloud & Infrastructure

  • Architect and support Microsoft 365 environments, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and related services.
  • Design and administer Microsoft Entra ID identity and access solutions, including Conditional Access, MFA, compliance, and Zero Trust controls.
  • Design, deploy, and optimize Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, and Microsoft Defender solutions.
  • Design and maintain Azure environments, including virtual machines, networking, storage, backups, migrations, integrations, governance, security, and cost optimization.
  • Support hybrid cloud/on-premises integrations, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
  • Assist customers with cloud transformation, migrations, modernization, and complex Microsoft troubleshooting.

Project & Change Leadership

  • Lead medium and large-scale customer projects from technical discovery and architecture through implementation and handoff.
  • Act as a broad technology generalist capable of coordinating technical work across internal engineers, partners, contractors, and vendors.
  • Build Bills of Materials (BOMs) and provide technical scoping and content for Statements of Work (SOWs).
  • Develop implementation plans, technical documentation, standards, and project deliverables.
  • Coordinate closely with the Project Manager, customer stakeholders, vendors, and implementation partners.
  • Participate in onboarding, infrastructure refreshes, migrations, modernization, and strategic technology initiatives.

Customer Engagement

  • Build trusted technical-advisor relationships with customers while supporting - not replacing - the SAM/client relationship.
  • Present technical recommendations, architecture, and solution designs to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Assist account/SAM teams with technical assessments, solution development, roadmaps, budgets, and business reviews.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of IT engineering experience; MSP, consulting, multi-location, or large endpoint environments strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years supporting Microsoft cloud and infrastructure technologies, with deep practical experience across Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Intune, Defender, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, IAM, Conditional Access, MFA, endpoint security, Windows Server, virtualization, backup/DR, cybersecurity, and networking fundamentals.
  • Proven experience leading technical projects, complex implementations, escalations, and architecture decisions.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, written, verbal, presentation, mentoring, and customer-facing skills.
  • Ability to use AI, automation, PowerShell, and modern engineering practices to improve speed, consistency, and quality.
