Senior Manual QA Analyst – Insurance & Financial Services – Remote
Support the delivery of high-quality business applications in the insurance sector through comprehensive manual testing. Work remotely from Ontario in a collaborative Agile environment, validating complex business rules, pricing calculations, integrations, and enterprise systems to help ensure reliable software releases.

Responsibilities:
• Review business requirements, user stories, and functional specifications.
• Create and execute detailed manual test cases and test scenarios.
• Validate complex pricing calculations and business rule execution.
• Perform functional, integration, system, regression, and support user acceptance testing.
• Conduct end-to-end testing across multiple integrated applications.
• Verify data consistency between application interfaces, reports, APIs, and batch outputs.
• Track, document, and manage defects through resolution.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and defect triage discussions.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, QA team members, and other project stakeholders to ensure quality standards are met before release.
• Support production validation and post-deployment testing activities as required.
What you will need to succeed:
• 10+ years of experience in manual quality assurance and software testing.
• Strong experience creating and executing detailed test cases, test plans, and test scenarios.
• Experience validating complex business processes, calculations, and rule-based systems.
• Proven ability to perform end-to-end testing across multiple integrated applications.
• Strong defect management experience, including defect reporting, tracking, support for root-cause analysis, and validation.
• Experience testing financial services, insurance, wealth management, or pricing systems is considered an asset.
• Strong SQL and data validation skills are considered an asset.
• Experience validating batch processes, file-based integrations, CSV outputs, and reports is considered an asset.
• Exposure to API testing using tools such as Postman for functional validation is considered an asset.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies and tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms is considered an asset.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience supporting business-critical enterprise applications.
• Comfortable working with distributed teams in an Agile environment.
