The following position is to join our RTX Enterprise Services team:

RTX Corporation is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and collaborative Manager of Cloud Infrastructure Services & Projects to lead a team responsible for the coordination, optimization, and operational excellence of RTX cloud environments. This role sits within the Enterprise Services Application & Technical Shared Services organization and plays a critical part in driving cloud capabilities, shared services efficiency, and strategic alignment across enterprise teams.

In this leadership position, you will manage the Cloud Systems Lead and Cloud System Administrators, directing cloud-related projects, daily operations, and compliance efforts. The ideal candidate brings strong people leadership, proven project/program management experience, and a solid understanding of cloud technologies. You will ensure successful execution of cloud initiatives, elevate team performance, and maintain alignment with organizational policies, security standards, and shared services roadmaps.

What You Will Do

People Leadership & Team Management

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Cloud System Administrators, fostering continuous learning, accountability, and engagement.
• Set priorities, balance workloads, and ensure timely delivery of operational and project-based work.
• Conduct regular 1:1s, performance evaluations, and career development planning.
• Promote a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team culture across geographically dispersed team members.
• Project & Program Management
• Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of cloud system projects, migrations, deployments, vulnerability management, and improvements.
• Coordinate cross-functional project activities to ensure alignment with business goals and minimize disruptions.
• Serve as the primary owner for Clara, ATO, GTA, and other compliance-driven programs, gathering required input to ensure accurate and timely submissions.
• Maintain accurate and transparent project documentation, workflows, and cost reporting.
• Work closely with the other managers in the Shared Services to support road mapping and long-term strategic planning for the Application & Technical Shared Services organization, ensuring cloud initiatives align with shared services objectives and enterprise goals.

Cloud Systems Oversight & Operations

• Partner with the Cloud Systems Lead to direct daily cloud operations, troubleshooting, and service continuity.
• Ensure adherence to organizational policies, cloud security standards, and compliance frameworks.
• Act as a key liaison between stakeholders, technical teams, and leadership to maintain strategic alignment, escalating issues as necessary.
• Support 24x7 operational environments, including occasional after-hours work as needed.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM), or a related field with 10 years of experience; OR 14 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Proven experience managing technical teams and projects in fast-paced, production environments with prior leadership experience in enterprise cloud, infrastructure, or systems operations environments.
• Proven experience using ticketing, change management, or service management systems (e.g., ServiceNow).
• Strong documentation capabilities, including maintaining system records and workflows with the ability to analyze complex issues, coordinate resolution, and communicate status clearly.
• Experience collaborating across remote teams, vendors, and business stakeholders and the ability to translate business requirements into effective technological or operational solutions.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Strong understanding of Azure cloud platforms with AWS a plus.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and modern project management practices.
• Microsoft Azure or AWS certification(s).
• Experience leveraging AI tools in everyday work, including AI-based code assistants or AI-driven troubleshooting solutions, to improve efficiency and accelerate problem resolution.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
