As Organizations grow, they need the people, systems, and leadership to support that growth while staying true to their mission and values. Visión y Compromiso is at that stage, strengthening its organizational infrastructure to support continued growth and long-term stability.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Human Resources Manager to help establish a strong HR function, support leaders, and to create a positive employee experience across the organization.
Visión y Compromiso Is a California-based nonprofit organization serving Latino communities through community-based health initiatives, outreach, advocacy, and capacity building efforts. With approximately 170 employees and 30 supervisors working primarily throughout California, the organization supports a diverse portfolio of programs that improve health and community well-being.
This is a remote position based in California, with regular travel throughout the State to collaborate with leaders and staff, support organizational priorities, and attend meetings and events.
The Opportunity
This position serves as Visión y Compromiso’s senior Human Resources leader and trusted advisor to executive leadership. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Senior Human Resources Manager will oversee every aspect of the employee experience, from recruitment and onboarding to leadership development, performance management, employee relations, workplace investigations, total rewards, disability management, workers’ compensation, and employment law compliance.
More importantly, this role will help strengthen the organization’s leadership capacity, guide cultural evolution, and build the systems and practices that support a healthy, engaged, and high-performing workforce.
The successful candidate will understand that Human Resources is not simply about records and policies; it’s about helping its workforce to succeed.
Why This Role Matters
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys building, coaching, and leading through change. We’re investing in stronger leadership development, building more consistent management practices, and creating clearer expectations. We are also strengthening accountability while preserving the warmth, humility, and sense of community that define who we are. We’re looking for someone who sees this work not as a challenge to endure, but as meaningful work worth doing.

- Organizational culture balances compassion with accountability.
- The workplace is prepared to support the organization’s continued growth.
