To support this growth, they are building a scalable, automated financial infrastructure that can handle increased manufacturing complexity, international packaging compliance, and subsidiary integration without a matching increase in administrative work.

As the Senior Financial Controller, you will own the forward-looking financial agenda. The Finance Manager oversees the historical accounting function, allowing you to focus on strategic planning and the future. This role is ideal for a systems builder who enjoys designing smart processes over performing repetitive manual tasks and finds fulfillment in mentoring finance professionals.

Your Responsibilities & Impact
Your time will be balanced across building infrastructure, managing complex compliance projects, advising leadership, and mentoring the finance team.

Forward-looking Planning & System Building (40%)
  • Design and automate financial forecasts, budgets, scenario models, and liquidity tracking.
  • Establish financial frameworks for stock-keeping and inventory management to support growing manufacturing operations.
Complex Compliance & Project Execution (25%)
  • Lead major compliance initiatives.
  • Design and implement an automated system for the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), including Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) reporting, cost management structures, and recyclability tracking ahead of the August 2026 legal deadline.
Strategic Advisory & Leadership Support (25%)
  • Serve as the primary financial advisor to the CEO and COO.
  • Translate complex financial information into clear, data-driven recommendations that support strategic decision-making.
Mentorship & Team Leadership (10%)
  • Mentor the Finance Manager and support their development toward a future CFO track.
  • Provide lateral leadership while empowering the team to manage day-to-day accounting operations independently.

Experience Required
  • 8+ years of progressive experience across Cost Accounting, Financial Controlling, and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).
  • 3+ years of experience as a Financial Controller or Finance Manager.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing automated financial systems and reporting frameworks.
  • Experience leading major compliance or regulatory initiatives with strict deadlines (e.g., packaging tax, international tax, or EPR schemes).
  • Strong background in manufacturing finance, including cost accounting, inventory management, and subsidiary integration.
  • Experience serving as a trusted advisor to senior leadership while mentoring junior finance professionals.
