Role Overview
The Senior Director, Analytics leads the day-to-day planning, execution, and delivery of analytics across client engagements and internal initiatives. This role carries a strong emphasis on hands-on rigor, team leadership, and translating complex data into clear business intelligence that drives measurable outcomes for clients.
The Senior Director is responsible for the quality, consistency, and strategic value of analytics outputs. This includes reporting and dashboards, advanced measurement approaches, data management, and performance optimization across channels and platforms.
This role also plays a critical part in strengthening the organization’s application of AI, automation, and emerging analytics tools to improve speed, insight quality, and scalability within team workflows.
What You’ll Do
Analytics Delivery & Client Impact
- Lead analytics planning, prioritization, and day-to-day resource allocation across a portfolio of enterprise client accounts and internal initiatives.
- Stay closely involved in execution to ensure analytics deliverables are accurate, consistent, strategically relevant, and aligned with client business objectives.
- Serve as a primary client-facing analytics leader within account teams, building trusted advisor relationships with senior marketing leaders and executive stakeholders.
- Translate complex media, marketing, customer, and performance data into clear recommendations that connect directly to business outcomes.
- Develop measurement strategies and analytics roadmaps that align media investment with broader organizational priorities and growth objectives.
- Partner with client stakeholders to define KPIs, measurement plans, success metrics, and performance frameworks across paid, owned, earned, and retail media.
- Review and approve dashboards, analyses, presentations, and strategic recommendations to ensure quality, clarity, and relevance for executive audiences.
- Partner with media planning, activation, strategy, and client services teams to ensure analytics informs investment decisions, campaign planning, and ongoing optimization.
- Present analytical findings and recommendations to C-suite executives, senior marketing leaders, and other key client stakeholders.

- Collaborate with data science teams on predictive modeling, audience segmentation, forecasting, behavioral analytics, and other advanced analytical solutions.
- Assess data quality, methodological trade-offs, and measurement limitations while helping clients make informed decisions in complex environments.
- Ensure measurement approaches continue to evolve alongside privacy regulations, identity solutions, platform changes, and shifting consumer behavior.
- Establish best practices for analytical storytelling, visualization, documentation, data governance, and methodological consistency.
AI, Automation & Analytics Innovation
- Identify and apply practical AI and automation opportunities across analytics workflows to improve delivery speed, insight quality, scalability, and team efficiency.
- Partner with data science, engineering, technology, and product leadership to integrate AI into reporting, forecasting, measurement, and optimization workflows.
- Evaluate and apply predictive analytics, machine learning, generative AI, and emerging analytical technologies to solve client and business challenges.
- Guide the development of scalable analytics products, automated reporting solutions, and internal tools that reduce manual work and increase decision velocity.
- Translate emerging AI capabilities into practical, responsible, and commercially relevant solutions for clients.
- Champion a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement while maintaining appropriate standards for data integrity, privacy, governance, and quality.
- Leverage AI-enabled tools as a regular part of individual and team workflows, setting expectations for thoughtful adoption across the analytics function.
- Stay current on emerging analytics platforms, measurement technologies, AI developments, and changes within the media and marketing ecosystem.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of analytics professionals.
- Foster strong execution discipline, analytical rigor, curiosity, accountability, and clear client communication across the team.
- Operate as a player-coach, providing hands-on guidance and direct support on complex client challenges, advanced analyses, and high-priority deliverables.
- Establish clear expectations, operating standards, and quality controls across analytics engagements.
- Build career development plans, skill-building opportunities, and learning paths with an emphasis on advanced measurement, consulting capability, technical development, and AI literacy.
- Elevate the team’s ability to move beyond reporting and communicate strategic, commercially relevant insights.
- Support workload planning, resource allocation, performance management, and succession planning across the analytics function.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture grounded in curiosity, experimentation, continuous learning, and shared accountability.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Growth Support
- Collaborate closely with media, creative, strategy, data science, engineering, technology, product, and client services teams to deliver integrated, insight-driven solutions.
- Act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring analytics initiatives are appropriately prioritized, scoped, resourced, and executed.
- Partner with internal teams to strengthen Fusion92’s proprietary marketing technology, analytics products, data platforms, and measurement capabilities.
- Support new business efforts, including RFPs, pitches, proposals, and client growth opportunities, by articulating measurement strategies, analytics capabilities, and business value.
- Contribute to the development of new analytics services, products, tools, methodologies, and commercial offerings.
- Partner with internal and external data, analytics, media, and technology providers to expand organizational capabilities.
- Contribute to best-practice development, thought leadership, knowledge sharing, and capability building across the analytics discipline.
- Help shape the future direction of Fusion92’s media analytics, AI, and data-driven marketing capabilities.
Requirements
What You’ll Bring
- 10+ years of experience in media analytics, marketing analytics, data strategy, customer intelligence, business intelligence, or a related discipline.
- Experience leading analytics within a marketing agency, consulting firm, media organization, or complex enterprise marketing environment.
- 3+ years of experience directly leading, mentoring, and developing analytics teams.
- Deep understanding of the media and marketing ecosystem, including measurement, attribution, experimentation, optimization, audience strategy, and cross-channel performance.
- Demonstrated experience advising executive stakeholders and presenting analytics, measurement strategies, and business recommendations to senior client leadership.
- Strong experience across several advanced measurement disciplines, including Marketing Mix Modeling, Multi-Touch Attribution, incrementality testing, experimentation, media effectiveness, digital analytics, customer analytics, retail media analytics, or audience measurement.
- Hands-on experience with business intelligence, analytics, reporting, and data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Salesforce Marketing Cloud Intelligence, or similar platforms.
- Working knowledge of SQL and experience with Python, R, or comparable analytical programming tools.
- Familiarity with modern cloud data environments and platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift, or similar technologies.
- Working knowledge of data warehousing, data integration, automation, data modeling, and analytics infrastructure.
- Demonstrated experience applying or partnering on predictive analytics, machine learning, generative AI, and AI-enabled marketing or analytics solutions.
- Strong analytical judgment with the ability to evaluate data quality, understand methodological trade-offs, and move from analysis to action.
- Executive presence with the ability to communicate clearly, influence decisions, and build credibility with clients, team members, and senior internal stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience developing executive-level narratives, strategic presentations, and client recommendations.
- Comfort operating in a hands-on capacity, including direct engagement with data, dashboards, reporting platforms, analytical methodologies, and client deliverables when needed.
- A consultative mindset with the ability to connect analytical findings to client strategy, media investment, customer behavior, commercial outcomes, and organizational growth.
- The ability to balance innovation, speed, scalability, and experimentation with appropriate standards for accuracy, governance, privacy, and analytical rigor.

The hiring range for this role is $135,000 - $160,000. Where an employee is paid within this range will depend on multiple factors including, but not limited to location, years of experience, education, internal pay structure, and other contributing factors.
