Summary/Objective

The Senior Director, Communications, PR & AR, owns isolved's public relations and analyst relations strategy and leads the communications team responsible for shaping how the market, press, analysts, customers, and partners perceive the company. This individual sets the earned media and analyst relations strategy, sharpens executive visibility in the HCM market, and leads a team that manages customer and partner communications, social media, M&A communications, and public relations initiatives. This individual will act as a strategic thinker who can work with myriad stakeholder groups both internal and external.

 

Core Job Duties

  • Own isolved's public relations strategy, including narrative development, media relationships, and share of voice across the HCM and B2B technology landscape.
  • Direct the public relations agency relationship and hold it accountable to measurable results.
  • Drive proactive earned media coverage, including securing tier one and trade press coverage and executive bylines.
  • Serve as a senior counselor on reputation and issues and crisis management, and respond to media inquiries including drafting executive commentary.
  • Build and manage an analyst relations program covering the industry analysts who influence HCM buying decisions, including briefings, inquiries, RFIs, and report cycles.
  • Turn analyst relations outcomes into input for sales, marketing, and executive storytelling.
  • Elevate company leaders as recognized voices in HCM through speaking platforms, bylines, awards, and press.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive communication plans for customer and partner audiences.
  • Ensure clear, consistent, and compelling messaging that aligns with the company's values and objectives.
  • Foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to oversee communication for product launches, product updates, and other company announcements.
  • Manage all business units' customer- and partner-facing newsletters for maximum engagement.
  • Support executive stakeholders with communications, presentations, event-speaking needs, talking points, and executive-level correspondence.
  • Lead communications efforts related to regularly occurring partner mergers and acquisitions, and ensure smooth communication transitions during customer and partner integration periods.
  • Create, write, edit, and produce press releases, collateral, newsletters, social media content, and event materials.
  • Collaborate with the Brand Communications Manager to develop and implement a social media strategy for isolved's next phase of growth.
  • Find and implement efficiencies, including AI-driven ones, that support all business units while maintaining a cohesive brand strategy and reducing repetitive work.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of communications professionals spanning individual contributors and managers.
  • Define and report on the metrics that demonstrate the function's value to executive leadership.

Requires in-depth knowledge of the functional area, business strategies, and the company's goals.

 

Interaction

Supervision

Directs and controls the activities of one or more functional areas, divisions, product groups or service areas through senior managers who have overall responsibility for the successful operation of those assigned areas. Clear expertise as a manager, leader and operator.

 

Experience

Typically requires Bachelor's degree and 15+ years of direct experience, with 8+ years of leadership experience. May require advanced degree.

 

Scope

Develops corporate and/or organizational policies and authorizes their implementation. Detailed knowledge of company allows for innovative concepts and promoting new ideas. Provides direction to senior managers in various areas, groups and/or operations. Recognized as an influential leader. Drives significant impact and improvements across their function, strategically plans for how people and processes scale.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or a related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of communications and public relations experience, with 8 or more years leading teams, including both individual contributors and managers. HCM experience required.
  • Analyst relations experience covering firms such as Gartner, Sapient Insights, Nucleus Research, NelsonHall, and The Josh Bersin Company is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience applying AI tools to communications workflows such as media monitoring, drafting, and reporting.
  • Working knowledge of HubSpot is preferred.
  • Presentation and PowerPoint-building experience is highly preferred.
  • Proven track record of successful social media growth.
  • Strong project management and leadership skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Experience working closely with the C-suite.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

 

Physical Demands

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.

 

Travel Required

Yes, up to 6 trips annually for conferences, events, and on-site meetings at isolved offices.
