Overview of the work: 

This work package is divided into distinct deliverables that will enhance the system. Each deliverable is timeboxed to maintain agile and iterative working while ensuring measurable outcomes. 

Resources will collaborate as part of a blended team, including civil servants from DfE’s Solutions Development Team (SDT) and Education Estates. They will work closely with delivery managers and business analysts to ensure timely completion of tasks contributing to the deliverables. 

The key deliverables are:

• Understanding of existing CRM systems.
  

• Maintenance of existing services
  

• Advice and resource planning for wider Development/ Testing resource for Service Support team and CRM teams.
  

• Plan for transition with incumbent supplier to pick up full development and testing requirements in Service Support and CRM teams.  
  

Background

Education Estates (EE) Digital, Data and Technology (DDT) activities support the national school condition and construction programs. Historically, DDT projects have been delivered tactically, often resulting in technical debt. This SoW aims to support long-term development planning and scoping to reduce such issues.

1. Core Team 

Purpose:

Sets standards for research, design, and technology delivery across EE teams. Engages senior stakeholders and ensures visibility of work across teams.

Key Activities:

Strategic scoping support

Commercial and financial management

Governance alignment

Airelogic Role:

No direct services required.

2. Manage My Education Estate Services

Purpose:

Develop a portal for responsible bodies involved in school construction.

 Key Activities:

MVP delivery

Integration of CDC data

Long-term roadmap development 

Airelogic Role:

Understand requirements to support CRM team implementation.

3. Schools-Based Nurseries Service 

Purpose:

Support new funding round for converting unused school space into nursery places.

Key Activities:

New development of CRM system

Iterative service improvements to existing CRM

4. Connect the Classroom

Purpose:

Support the development and rebuild of the service. 

Key Activities:

Rebuild and development of the service on the newest CRM platform to established standards.

Airelogic Role:

Provide developer and testing support 

5. Data Team

Purpose:

Build strategic data environments and taxonomies linked to CRM.

Key Activities:

Develop data dictionary/taxonomy

Establish strategic data environment

Airelogic Role:

Ensure CRM development within other teams (CRM/SBN/Service Support) aligns with consistent data models through collaboration.

6. Service Support Team

Purpose:

Maintain and evolve existing services during transformation, especially the Construct service.

Key Activities:

Ongoing support for existing services

Develop long-term service management plans

Airelogic Role:

Provide testing support for these legacy live services.

● Dynamics 365 C# plug-in development for cloud-based deployment and retrieval of lost code for plug-in.

● Has worked both solely and as part of a team both locally and remotely.

• Knowledge of the GDS Standard
  

• Understanding of working in Agile Principles and Teams based on them
  

• Strong communicator
  

● JSON / XML / XSLT

● Client side Javascript development for Dynamics 365 model development.

● Development of AZURE Functions, and usage of other AZURE services such as blob storage as required by projects.

●Experience in the public sector i.e  DfE, DHSC, NHSE etc

Understanding of Sharepoint integration and usage within Dynamics

● Extensive experience of infrastructure development and support of heterogeneous networks.

● OOD  / Javascript / C# / PowerFX / FetchXML / Liquid Templates

● SQL Server 2016, AZURE

● Microsoft Certifications: AI-900, PL- 200, PL-400, AZ-900
