AI Summary

Manage and optimize ad strategies for a portfolio of major publisher clients to drive revenue growth. Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders while collaborating with internal teams to enhance product performance and client success.

About Wunderkind:

Wunderkind ads are 'behaviorally triggered', meaning that ads are served on a premium list of publishers only when a user is done consuming content. Our proprietary tag is integrated directly on the publisher page to track on-site user behavior - making 'net new' ad placements. How we serve the ad is why we are different from our competitors in-market.

Rather than placing an ad in front of someone while they're actively trying to read content, our technology patiently waits until a visitor has stopped reading before rendering our ad on the page. And that patience pays off -- it turns out that when an ad experience respects the user's reason for visiting a page, the user respects the ad experience in return. This unique, brand safe approach to ad experience gives an advertiser's message more attention and greater engagement.

About the Role:

As a Senior Customer Success Manager on our Publishers team, you'll manage millions of dollars in annual revenue that flow through our ad units on major publisher sites. You'll be tasked with building and optimizing custom ad strategies that leverage Wunderkind's proprietary ad units -- behaviorally triggered to respect the user experience while simultaneously generating revenue for publishers. You'll be Wunderkind's main point of contact for some of the largest and most recognizable publishers in the industry.

The ideal candidate would be a strong team lead and ad-tech expert who is looking to impact the digital strategy for our most strategic clients, and have a lot of fun while doing it. We have an innovative and truly differentiated enterprise product that fundamentally changes how publishers monetize their websites and you would play a key part in leading that shift.

If you love the fast-paced environment of a startup, digital marketing, and working closely with clients, then this is an incredibly unique opportunity to join an accomplished, fast-growing team that will blaze the trail for future growth

Role Responsibilities:

  • Own the relationship and ultimate success of a dedicated segment of Wunderkind's publishing partners, including initial onboarding, campaign execution, optimization, and retention
  • Drive monetization for top tier publishers by optimizing Wunderkind's suite of programmatic advertising sources
  • Own all reporting and client communication (email, calls, in-person) of WKND performance metrics
  • Work closely with the Business Development team to develop and present highly persuasive business cases for domain expansion, ad unit expansion and strategy optimization to ensure customers are deriving maximum value from the WKND ads platform
  • Convey publisher feedback internally with product team to inform new monetization opportunities, tailored to the changing needs of your clients
  • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key stakeholders and executive sponsors to fully understand your customer's business strategy and measurements for success
  • Serve as customer advocate internally while effectively collaborating with internal, cross-functional teams including product management, sales, engineering, and design
  • Continuously think outside the box to generate new campaign ideas, tailored to the unique needs of your clients

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience related to digital media or digital advertising
  • 5+ years of direct experience in account management, ideally with digital publishers
  • Demonstrated success in fast-paced and demanding AdTech environments; you relish adversity and overcoming obstacles
  • Deep understanding of AdOps, the AdTech marketplace and the flow of ad dollars from advertiser to publisher
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to project manage, set priorities and stay organized when managing multiple client relationships
  • Strong technical skills or the ability to quickly learn technical concepts
  • Stellar communication skills and EQ; you enjoy building relationships, overcoming push back and high touch client interaction
  • Proactive and energetic attitude with the desire to be a key player on a results-oriented team
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for the marketing technology space and a healthy dose of humility
  • Proficient in Google Ad Manager (DFP), Google Analytics, data visualization software

The base salary range for this role is $90,000.00 to 105,000.00. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each specific candidate; including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, applicable certifications, and geographic work location. This may vary depending on living location and market rate.
