Senior Consultant, Aladdin Transformation - Middle Office

We are seeking a hands-on Aladdin specialist with 3–5+ years of middle office experience to support investment management engagements with global buy-side asset managers. This role is ideal for someone who understands middle office investment operations end-to-end, can configure and validate Aladdin post-trade and operations environments, and is able to translate complex operational processes into practical system solutions.

The Senior Consultant will be embedded within active Aladdin implementation programmes, working in close partnership with middle office operations teams, portfolio managers, traders, project teams, and technology stakeholders. The primary focus is the middle office — configuring post-trade, settlement, and operations workflows, ensuring the platform reflects how operations teams work in practice, and driving high-quality outcomes across the full project lifecycle.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Partner with middle office operations teams, portfolio managers, and traders to design, refine, and validate Aladdin post-trade and operations workflows that reflect real operating practices.
• Perform gap analysis between current-state middle office processes and Aladdin capabilities, identifying configuration requirements and process changes needed to close gaps.
• Configure post-trade and investment operations workflows within Aladdin and validate end-to-end functionality across relevant asset classes, including trade matching, affirmation, settlement, and corporate actions processing.
• Gather and document business requirements related to trade confirmation and settlement, position and cash management, valuation, reconciliation, corporate actions, and investment data.
• Facilitate workshops and working sessions with middle office stakeholders, operations teams, and technology partners to define requirements and drive alignment.
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT) with middle office stakeholders, managing defect tracking, retesting, and sign-off processes.
• Contribute to go-live readiness activities and post-implementation stabilisation, ensuring operations teams are equipped to operate effectively on the platform.
• Provide subject matter expertise across the post-trade lifecycle including trade confirmation, settlement, corporate actions, cash and position management, and reconciliation across multiple asset classes.
• Prepare clear documentation, implementation plans, and recommendations to support project teams and senior stakeholders.
• Collaborate with data and technology teams to support middle office data flows, platform integrations, and downstream connectivity within the Aladdin ecosystem.
• Improve governance, controls, and documentation for critical middle office processes and Aladdin configuration standards.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to team knowledge sharing, delivery standards, and best practice development.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 3–5+ years of experience in asset management or financial services, with a focus on middle office roles and Aladdin implementation and support.
• Aladdin experience is required: hands-on experience with Aladdin configuration and post-trade/operations workflows, with demonstrable involvement across the Aladdin implementation project lifecycle.
• Strong understanding of middle office investment operations concepts including trade confirmation and settlement, position and cash management, valuation, and reconciliation.
• Solid knowledge of the post-trade lifecycle across multiple asset classes.
• Proven ability to work directly with operations teams, portfolio managers, and traders to translate operational requirements into Aladdin system solutions.
• Experience supporting UAT and end-user enablement in a middle office or operations technology context.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both operations professionals and technology teams, bridging the gap between business need and technical delivery.
• Strong problem-solving, project execution, and stakeholder management skills.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, mathematics, information systems, or a related field.

PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS 

• Familiarity with custodian, fund accounting, and prime brokerage systems, and front-to-back integration, including FIX connectivity and vendor integrations.
• Experience working within platform constraints to deliver practical solutions within structured delivery environments.
• Knowledge of corporate actions processing, lifecycle event management, and reconciliation frameworks within Aladdin.
• Familiarity with investment risk frameworks, performance attribution, and related Aladdin data domains.
• Experience with data analysis tools such as SQL or Python applied to middle office or investment datasets.
• Knowledge of data governance and reconciliation frameworks within an asset management context.
• MBA, CFA, CAIA, or other relevant professional certification.
