Senior Content Strategist - Bilingual Spanish (Senior Consultant, Experience & Design)
We are seeking a Senior Bilingual Content Strategist as part of our Senior Consultant, Experience & Design career path to lead content strategy and Spanish-language content quality. This role shapes content models, and bilingual content experiences across claimant and employer-facing portals supporting workers and businesses statewide. Working within an agile, human-centered design environment, you will ensure content is accessible, written in plain language, and culturally appropriate for a diverse population, while ensuring the accuracy and consistency of Spanish-language content and partnering with product, design, and engineering teams to integrate content seamlessly into sprint delivery cycles. This is a fully remote role.
At Fearless, the Senior Consultant combines expertise in Content Design, Content Strategy, Product Design, Service Design, User Research, and UX leadership. This role will possess the necessary skills at an advanced level of proficiency for setting the vision, strategy, and systems that guide cross-functional design teams in creating scalable, impactful, and user-centered solutions. The role requires a balance of strategic foresight, design mentorship, and hands-on expertise to deliver high-quality products and services that meet user, customer, and organizational needs.
Your Responsibilities in this Role:
● Lead end-to-end content strategy for digital portals, defining content models, taxonomy structures, and governance frameworks.
● Review and approve all Spanish-language content to ensure translations are accurate, culturally appropriate, consistent with program terminology, and aligned with plain language and accessibility standards.
● Ensure legal, regulatory, and public benefits content is accurately represented in Spanish while preserving the intent of source materials and making complex information clear, understandable, and accessible for diverse audiences.
● Localize all user-facing content into Spanish, adapting language and messaging to reflect cultural context and usability for Hispanic users.
● Conduct content audits and ROT analysis to assess existing materials and recommend improvements aligned to plain language and accessibility standards.
● Partner with product managers, UX designers, and engineers to integrate user-centered content into wireframes, prototypes, and production UI.
● Collaborate with engineering teams to define CMS technical requirements, workflows, and content migration strategies within agile sprint cycles.
● Develop and apply metadata frameworks, content types, and information architecture that support scalable, personalized digital experiences.
● Conduct user research and content testing to validate messaging effectiveness and iterate based on feedback from claimants and employers.
● Monitor content performance using analytics tools and adjust strategies to improve findability, engagement, and user satisfaction.

PROJECT SPECIFIC SKILL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
● Minimum of 7 years of experience in content strategy, content design, or UX writing roles supporting large-scale digital platforms.
● Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Journalism, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
● Fluency in Spanish and English, with proven experience localizing content for Spanish-speaking audiences.
● Experience reviewing and validating professionally translated Spanish-language content, including legal, regulatory, or public benefits information, to ensure linguistic accuracy, cultural appropriateness, consistency, and alignment with plain language principles.
● Demonstrated experience developing content models, taxonomy structures, and governance systems for enterprise CMS platforms such as Drupal, Webflow, or WordPress.
● Proven ability to apply plain language principles, accessibility standards, and human-centered design practices to digital content.
● Experience partnering with cross-functional agile teams including product managers, designers, and developers to deliver content within sprint cycles.
● Strong background conducting content audits, user research, and SEO optimization to improve content performance and user experience.
Preferred Experience
● Experience supporting government digital services or public-facing benefits programs.
● Familiarity with generative AI tools to streamline content workflows and enhance scalability.
● Google UX Design Certificate or Content Strategy for Professionals specialization.

The salary range for this position is:
Minimum Salary: $96,132
Salary Midpoint: $124,971
Maximum Salary: $162,462
Hiring Range for Role: $96,132 - $126,000
*This position is eligible for a discretionary bonus based on individual and company performance criteria.
