Senior Backend & Integration Developer — Remote

Responsibilities:
• Provide technical leadership supporting the Unified Advisor Experience for electronic application and lifecycle tracking (eTrack) and electronic documents (eDocs).
• Design integration patterns and API contracts.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and integration services.
• Surface advisor-facing data, application and transaction lifecycle status, and client statements and tax documents by integrating backend source systems with the advisor portal front end.
• Integrate backend source systems, including Salesforce and Alfresco.
• Establish advisor entitlements and access control capabilities from the ground up.
• Lead complex integrations.
• Provide solution design guidance.
• Conduct code reviews.
• Mentor intermediate developers.
• Collaborate within an Agile squad alongside architects and delivery leads.
What you will need to succeed:
Required qualifications
• Experience with RESTful API and microservices backend development using Java and Spring Boot in Maven-based environments deployed to Azure and AKS, including secure API design.
• Experience designing and building API contracts and integration patterns across enterprise source systems.
• Experience with messaging and queue-based integration patterns using JMS and ActiveMQ.
• Experience designing and implementing authentication, authorization, entitlements, and access control solutions.
• Experience with SQL and data mapping and transformation between source systems and front-end API contracts.
• Senior-level hands-on delivery experience, including independently building complex integrations, establishing technical patterns through code, and providing code reviews and mentorship while remaining a primary contributor.
Preferred qualifications
• Experience integrating document management systems such as Alfresco or comparable enterprise content management platforms, including OnBase, Documentum, or OpenText.
• Exposure to Salesforce data integration.
• Experience within financial services, banking, or insurance environments.
