Overview:

Senior Accountant to Support Community Engagement & Impact and Foundation Divisions

Prepare, analyze, research, and adjust financial statements for management presentation. Creates relevant work papers, schedules, and reconciliations. Review and comprehend financial indicators and results of operations, significant operational statistics, variances from budget and historical results. Research technical accounting and financial reporting issues, and assist with ad hoc financial analysis and projects. This position assists in preparation and coordination of year-end audits.

Successful candidates will have a strong customer service background and enjoy speaking with customers from the donor, fundraising and non-profit lines of professional business partners.

Hybrid scheduling opportunity for Hampton Roads, Virginia area. Consideration for out of area Remote scheduling is a possibility also.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting required.
  • Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration will be considered in lieu of required experience.

Certification/Licensure

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred

Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of Accountant experience required
  • Public Accounting experience or CPA preferred but not required
  • Strong customer service and communication skills required
  • Previous experience with Healthcare is preferred
