As a Strategic Account Manager, youâll play a high-stakes, high-impact role managing our top-tier MSP partners â the most complex, innovative, and revenue-driving accounts in the business.
This isnât just about hitting numbers (though yes, youâll definitely do that). Itâs about long-term strategy, deep cross-functional collaboration, and being the trusted advisor that guides enterprise-level partners to next-level growth.
Build and lead your own strategic territory â developing high-potential MSPs into powerhouse partners.
Run the full sales cycle, using Pax8âs value-based methodology to align partner business goals with our marketplace offerings.
Recruit new strategic partners and grow existing ones â focusing on long-term business outcomes, not just short-term wins.
Lead QBRs and tactical meetings that go beyond check-ins â youâll be the partnerâs compass, coach, and catalyst.
Own your 30/60/90/180-day pipeline like a boss â forecasting with precision in SFDC and driving data-informed decisions.
Partner internally across Solution Consultants, Product, Vendor, Marketing, Finance, Engineering and more â this is a full-contact sport.
8â12 years of enterprise account management (sales leadership a plus), ideally in SaaS, MSP, or cloud tech
Proven success leading complex deals with C-suite decision-makers and multi-product sales strategies
Strong command of value-based selling frameworks (Command of the Message preferred)
Disciplined sales ops approach: pipeline forecasting, opportunity hygiene, CRM (Salesforce) mastery
Executive presence that earns trust in every room â boardroom, Zoom, or breakout session
A competitive edge paired with a team-first mindset â you thrive on shared wins
Experience coaching others, giving strategic direction, and clearing the path for success
Willingness to travel 25-50% as necessary to take care of your partners.
In Your First 90 Days:
Fully onboarded, aligned with cross-functional teams, and already building traction in your strategic accounts
Youâre leading QBRs and translating account insights into action plans
Youâve built early-stage pipeline and have forecast milestones mapped out through 180 days
By Month 6:
Youâre growing territory revenue and driving net-new growth from both new and existing strategic partners
Youâve identified patterns of success (and friction) and worked cross-functionally to smooth the path
You're contributing insights that help shape Pax8âs strategic partner playbook
By Year 1:
Youâve transformed a portfolio of strategic MSPs into high-performing, deeply engaged partners
Youâve become a trusted leader across teams and a role model for strategic selling excellence
Youâve helped drive sustained territory growth â and helped shape how Pax8 scales from here
Salesforce (heavy usage expected)
Forecasting and funnel metrics (youâll live in the numbers)
Comfort operating across multiple business units
Exceptional storytelling and presentation skills

Compensation: We anticipate offering On Target Earnings beginning at $136,500.00 for this position. This OTE reflects the intended compensation design for the role, with a split between base and commissions varying between 60/40% and 55/45%. This is represented as a good faith estimate and does not represent a guarantee of compensation or earnings
