Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP Ariba Consultant to design, configure, and optimize our cloud-based strategic sourcing and procurement infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bridge global procurement requirements with Ariba’s network capabilities, translating complex contract lifecycles, supplier onboarding matrices, and procurement routing rules into highly automated, secure corporate purchasing workflows.
Key Responsibilities
Configure and deploy SAP Ariba Upstream modules, including SAP Ariba Sourcing, SAP Ariba Contracts, and SAP Ariba Supplier Lifecycle and Performance (SLP).
Design and maintain SAP Ariba Downstream components, including SAP Ariba Buying and Invoicing, Guided Buying interfaces, catalog layouts, and receiving rules.
Build complex workflow approval matrices and business rule sets using Ariba’s approval rule engine, managing multi-tier spending limits and dynamic validation paths.
Orchestrate supplier integration networks, configuring the Ariba Network (SAP Business Network) for electronic purchase orders, invoice automation, and custom supplier portal views.
Coordinate seamless cross-cloud data flows between SAP Ariba and core backend systems (SAP ECC or S/4HANA) using the Cloud Integration Gateway (CIG) / SAP Integration Suite.
Manage master data replication pipelines, validating commodity codes, cost centers, payment terms, and vendor master profiles across integrated platform layers.
Govern administrative template designs, custom forms, and workspace structures within a multi-realm environment while ensuring alignment with global corporate procurement policies.
Requirements
4 to 8 years of enterprise supply chain or procurement technology experience, with 4+ dedicated years actively designing, building, and maintaining SAP Ariba systems.
Strong technical mastery of Ariba template configurations, role-based permissions, custom form building, catalog schemas (CIF/cXML), and workflow parameters.
Deep structural understanding of global strategic sourcing lifecycles, contract compliance, invoice verification tolerances, and multi-currency transaction structures.
Mandatory certification: SAP Certified Application Associate - SAP Ariba Procurement OR SAP Certified Application Associate - SAP Ariba Sourcing.
Preferred Qualifications
SAP Certified Application Associate - SAP Ariba Integration or Cloud Integration Gateway (CIG) certification.
Prior experience executing large-scale global procurement transformations involving highly customized third-party ERP architectures or legacy accounting systems.
