Salesforce Developer

As Homelink’s Salesforce Developer, you will be the primary technical owner of our Salesforce platform, which supports our insurance housing claims operations. You will own architecture, development, integrations, releases, and production support, and you will lead Homelink’s adoption of AI capabilities on the platform in a secure, well-governed way. This role suits a self-directed developer who is comfortable making technical decisions independently, communicating them clearly to business stakeholders, and thrives in a fast-paced, fully remote environment.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Serve as Homelink’s primary Salesforce developer, owning platform architecture, code quality, technical standards, and production support.
• Design, build, test, document, and deploy solutions using Apex, SOQL, Lightning Web Components, Flow, and other declarative tools.
• Own the release management and deployment process across sandbox and production environments, including source control, CI/CD, and environment refresh strategy.
• Design, build, and support integrations between Salesforce and third-party systems, including REST/SOAP APIs, file archival to SharePoint, and embedded Tableau analytics.
• Maintain and extend managed packages and their customizations, including Accounting Seed.
• Design and maintain scalable data models and processes for large data volumes, including archival strategies such as Big Objects.
• Design, build, and maintain AI-enabled solutions on the Salesforce platform, such as Agentforce agents, Prompt Builder templates, and LLM-backed Apex or Flow automations, in partnership with business stakeholders.
• Govern how AI tools and agents access Salesforce data, including permissions, data masking, and auditability, with particular care for policyholder and claims data.
• Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery while maintaining code review, testing, and documentation standards.
• Triage, diagnose, and resolve bug reports and production issues, and participate in on-call support as scheduled.
• Identify technical debt, including legacy automation such as Process Builder and Workflow Rules, and recommend and prioritize long-term remediation.
• Translate business requirements from stakeholders and the Business Analyst into technical designs, and maintain clear technical documentation of the org.

Job Requirements:

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience, including Apex (triggers, batch, queueable, and scheduled jobs), SOQL/SOSL, Lightning Web Components, and Flow.
• Experience working as the sole or lead developer on a Salesforce org, with end-to-end ownership of design, deployment, and support.
• Experience with Salesforce DevOps tooling, such as Salesforce CLI, Git-based source control, and CI/CD pipelines or DevOps Center.
• Experience designing and supporting integrations using REST/SOAP web services, Named Credentials, and Connected Apps.
• Working knowledge of Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud.
• Experience with large data volumes and strong relational database and SQL skills.
• Solid understanding of the Salesforce security model, including profiles, permission sets, sharing, and field-level security.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working in an agile environment (Scrum or Kanban). 

Preferred:

• Hands-on experience with Salesforce AI capabilities, such as Agentforce, Prompt Builder, Einstein Trust Layer, or Data Cloud.
• Experience integrating external LLM APIs or MCP-based AI tools with Salesforce using secure authentication.
• Experience with MuleSoft, including building, deploying, and supporting API-led integrations between Salesforce and other systems.
• Experience with Accounting Seed or other financial managed packages.
• Experience with Tableau or CRM Analytics, including embedding dashboards in Salesforce.
• Experience with Big Objects, file archival, or other large-data archival strategies.
• Experience in insurance, claims, or other environments handling sensitive personal data.
• Salesforce certifications, such as Platform Developer I/II or Agentforce Specialist.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

This job operates in a fully remote environment. This role routinely uses standard equipment such as computers, phones, etc. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate in both a verbal and written manner and must have the ability to hear and verbally respond during interactions with staff and customers. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands through fingers, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. This position is full-time. It will require a flexible schedule that may necessitate occasional evenings/weekends coverage. Position will require on call responsibilities/support as scheduled by management.
