The Sales Team Leader is responsible for leading, coaching, and developing a team of 8–10 Sales Specialists to consistently achieve and exceed sales targets - focusing specifically on our US market. This role serves as the team's subject matter expert and works closely with the Senior Team Leader and Head of Sales to maximize team performance, maintain operational excellence, and foster a high-performance culture.
This is a hands-on leadership role. In addition to coaching the team, you are expected to maintain your own sales performance, lead by example, and continuously identify opportunities to improve processes and results.
Lead, motivate, and develop a team of 8–10 Sales Specialists.
Drive the team to consistently achieve or exceed monthly sales targets.
Meet individual sales targets while leading the team.
Monitor and improve team performance across:
Revenue
Conversion Rate
Attendance
Productivity
Quality standards
Conduct daily huddles and performance check-ins.
Listen to 1–2 sales calls per representative each week (or as required) to identify coaching opportunities.
Deliver regular one-on-one coaching sessions, including call reviews and action plans.
Ensure daily routines, KPIs, and best practices are consistently followed.
Onboard, train, and mentor new Sales Specialists.
Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.
Assist the Head of Sales in conducting final interviews for Sales Specialist candidates.
Identify future leaders within the team and support their professional development.
Maintain excellent CRM hygiene, ensuring proper lead management, SLA compliance, and accurate pipeline management.
Monitor the number of active leads and ensure efficient lead distribution.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports.
Work cross-functionally with Operations, QA, Marketing, and other departments to resolve issues and improve processes.
Identify workflow improvements that increase team efficiency and conversion.
Minimum 5 years of sales experience, preferably in outbound telemarketing or high-volume sales.
Minimum 2 years of experience leading a sales team.
Proven track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets.
Experience managing teams selling to US customers is highly preferred.
Comfortable working US business hours.
Strong coaching, communication, and people management skills.
Highly organized, process-oriented, and data-driven.
Demonstrates initiative and thrives in a fast-paced startup environment.
Comfortable using CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
Able to lead by example with strong personal sales capability.
