The Sales Representative will generate and close new business opportunities by identifying and nurturing relationships with key decision-makers in group settings. Additionally, they will provide ongoing account support and customer success management to ensure retention and growth.
Job Summary
SitterTree is seeking a skilled Sales Representative to join our team. The Sales Representative will sell SitterTree’s online services to new congregations, early learning centers, and other group settings seeking child care providers and will provide ongoing account support to promote retention and increased sales for each group.
The role of the sales team is to generate and close new business opportunities by developing and nurturing relationships with key decision-makers at congregations, preschools, and other group settings, and with congregation networks and child care center corporate and franchise headquarters. You will also act as customer success for your accounts to ensure they continue using SitterTree over time.
Responsibilities
Market Research
Conduct market research, qualify leads, and identify target groups, networks, corporations, and franchises and key contacts within them
Gather useful information from user and competitor data
Lead Generation
Conduct cold calling, emailing, LinkedIn messaging, and Facebook posting/messaging to generate new leads
Set up, staff, and tear down exhibitor spaces at industry conferences to meet and collect contact information from potential new leads
Execute in-person sales visits with decision-makers at target groups
Develop and nurture relationships with key contacts at networks and identify and implement opportunities to share about SitterTree with groups in their network
Set meetings and execute calls to get SitterTree approved as a vendor for corporate-owned and franchised child care chains
Lead Conversion
Complete intro calls/demos with generated leads
Conduct phone call, email, and in-person follow-up with generated leads to develop and nurture relationships to convert users (get them to complete first job)
Assist generated leads to complete first job from start to finish, including sign-up, posting job, booking provider, paying, reviewing provider and address any questions or concerns
Work closely with Support and sitter recruitment teams to ensure 5-star experience through completion of first jobs
Account Management
Conduct phone call and email check-ins with new groups every other week for first 2 months to ensure smooth onboarding, positive first experiences, and understanding of all features and pricing
Re-engage archived groups and groups that never completed their first job through phone calls, emails, visits, and other activities quarterly in advance of peak seasons (Christmas, Easter, Fall, New Year, etc.)
Conduct proactive check-ins via phone calls, emails, and/or visits with existing accounts quarterly and as needed to inform about product updates, assess upcoming needs, inform about pricing updates, etc.
Use check-in calls to upsell pre-purchasing bundles of bookings and Sitter Bucks in order to save on service fees and processing fees based upon anticipated volume
Establish a personal connection with contacts at your existing accounts to reduce churn and build brand loyalty, ensure continued use of SitterTree over time
Send cards during holidays or other important events to group, arrange for sending gifts, swag, or conducting in-person visits with top-spending users
Ask groups for referrals of other groups, reviews and testimonials, and referrals to families in their network
Administrative
Attend Sales Department meetings, all-staff Huddles, and 1:1s with manager
Stay up-to-date with new products/services and new pricing/payment plans
Maintain administrative hygiene of all sales activities in CRM (Hubspot)
Review sales and performance stats daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly to track progress towards goals to ensure they are being met, identify areas for growth, and ask for help/resources from manager
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher
1+ years of experience in sales, including cold calling, conducting demo/intro calls, exhibiting at trade shows/conferences, and conducting in-person sales visits
