Restoration Estimator
$60,000 per year + benefits
Paul Davis Restoration of Tulsa is looking for a Restoration Estimator who knows construction, understands estimating, and can take a damaged property and turn it into a clear, accurate scope of work.
This is not a desk-only estimating position. This role is divided timewise being approximately 50% in-person and 50% from a desk.
You’ll be in the field inspecting properties, talking with customers and insurance professionals, identifying what needs to be done, building detailed estimates, and working closely with our production team to get the job moving.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inspect residential and commercial properties after water, fire, storm, mold and other losses.
- Assess damage and determine the full scope of necessary restoration and reconstruction.
- Measure properties and document damage with detailed photos and notes
- Build accurate, detailed estimates using industry-standard estimating software
- Develop scopes that clearly communicate what needs to be done, how it needs to be done, and what it will take to get it done
- Communicate with homeowners, insurance adjusters, project managers, technicians, subcontractors, and other stakeholders
- Review estimates, answer questions, negotiate scope when necessary, and work toward approval
- Identify additional or hidden damage and update estimates as conditions change
- Maintain accurate documentation throughout the estimating process
- Manage multiple estimates and deadlines without losing attention to detail
- Meet with home and property owners to conduct on-site inspections and scope generation.
- Complete estimates within 24 hours of assignment.
- Estimate each loss using a 3rd party estimating software, Xactimate or Symbility.
- Ensure each project achieves a minimum gross profit margin as determined by company standards.
- Communicate and document any change orders and insurance supplements.
- Responsible for being the first contact for homeowners when participating in the on-call rotation.
- Meet Net Promoter Score of minimum monthly average of 70.
- Closing the Loop 100% of the time within 24 hours.
Competency – Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Experienced in construction estimating, restoration, insurance claims, or a related field
- Comfortable walking a jobsite and identifying what others might miss
- Strong with measurements, numbers, documentation, and construction details
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Knowledge of our main operating systems; RMS (DASH), Xactimate and Symbility
- Confident communicating with customers, adjusters, and contractors
- Organized enough to manage multiple projects at different stages
- Detail-oriented without losing sight of the big picture
- Reliable, professional, and willing to take ownership of your work
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly
- Ability to answer and communicate with customers over the phone and face to face
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Maintain a level of confidentiality
Required Education and Experience:
- Experience with Xactimate and Symbility software
Physical Requirement
- Must be able to climb and scope roofs
- Must be able to stay in a stationary position up to 80% of the time
- The person in this position needs to frequently move about a customer job site (indoors and outdoors)
- Occasionally ascends and descends a ladder to service customer sites
- Must be able to communicate and converse with customers over the phone and face to face
- Ability to safely operate a company vehicle
