Objective:

The resource specialist plays a critical role in supporting the partner success team during open enrollment by providing administrative, operational, and customer support services. This position is responsible for managing detailed, high-volume tasks that support enrollment and re-enrollment activities, including report generation, data validation, document review, customer communications, and record maintenance. The ideal candidate is highly organized, exceptionally detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced, virtual environment with minimal supervision. This role helps ensure accuracy, timeliness, and quality of enrollment-related processes while delivering responsive support to both internal and external business partners.


This is a seasonal position, beginning in September 2026 and concluding in January 2027.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ability to work independently and self-motivate
  • Assist in maintaining and monitoring data for established customers
  • Demonstrates ability to handle a large volume of service requests accurately in an effective manner with close attention to detail
  • Maintain customer files and records
  • Maintain quality control standards for all assignments of work focusing on accuracy and timeliness
  • Provide high level review of paperwork received and contact the customer if information is missing
  • Responsible for the “first touch” of customer service, manage incoming inquiries and either provide a prompt solution or assign to an appropriate team member
  • Understand and utilize available resources, systems, and contacts, both internally and externally
  • Support other functions as assigned.


Key Qualifications: 

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and process-driven with a proven ability to identify and prevent errors.
  • Self-starter who thrives in an independent, remote work environment and requires minimal day-to-day oversight.
  • Strong written communication skills with experience managing professional email correspondence.
  • Ability to prioritize competing demands and perform accurately under tight deadlines and high-volume workloads.
  • Proficiency with Excel, reporting tools, and data validation activities preferred.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent recommended
  • Experience in customer service is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Commercial healthcare insurance preferred

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.


Mental Functions:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to compare, analyze, communicate, copy, coordinate, instruct, compute, synthesize, evaluate, use interpersonal skills, compile, and negotiate.


Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.


Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: 

This is a full-time position with level three hybrid-remote work permission. Level three hybrid-remote work is a primarily remote position with the option to reserve desk space at our Michigan location. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Eastern time. Occasional weekends may be required during peak times or as deemed necessary. Must have the ability to be self-directed, be an influential producer, and remain culturally engaged.

This position does not require travel.
