The auditor will conduct financial reviews and audits for both the C3 and C4 entities of the organization. They will also assist in the transition of accounting systems and ensure accurate documentation of shared expenses and grant-related expenditures.

MOVE Texas is a nonpartisan, nonprofit, grassroots organization working to build power in underrepresented youth communities through civic engagement, leadership development, and issue advocacy. In 2013, MOVE was founded by a small group of dedicated students at the University of Texas at San Antonio to increase participation in local elections. Since then our work has gone statewide to become one of the most effective voter registration and engagement groups in the state. Our theory of change is simple: develop new leaders, educate voters and create space for the changes we need to make so that our state can be a place where all Texans can thrive. We believe that together we are transforming democracy in Texas and beyond.
MOVE Texas is a Texas-based organization focused on building the power of young people in our democracy. Our organizational structure includes two separate legal entities:

We are currently accepting proposals from audit firms that can support our organization with both historical and ongoing financial review and audit requirements.
We are looking for a firm that can help us evaluate the appropriate scope and sequencing of this work and develop a realistic timeline for bringing both entities fully current.
Our anticipated scope includes:
MOVE Texas Civic Fund (C3)
MOVE Texas Action Fund (C4)
Accounting Systems & Current Transition
MOVE Texas is currently transitioning its accounting infrastructure to Sage Intacct. As part of that process, we are transferring historical financial information and establishing integrations between Sage and our other financial and operational platforms.
Key systems include:
Bill.com has been connected to Sage Intacct, while additional integrations and historical data migration work remain in progress.
Organizational Considerations
Because MOVE Texas operates both a C3 and C4 entity, accurate allocation and documentation of shared expenses, payroll, intercompany activity, and grant-related expenditures are important components of our financial reporting.
