The Release and Cutover Manager will own the end-to-end route to live for an Oracle Cloud HCM estate, including environment strategy and cross-system planning. They are responsible for governing releases, managing cutover activities, and ensuring alignment between Oracle updates, payroll cycles, and regulatory requirements.
This is a remote position.
Contract, six months. 1 October 2026 to 31 March 2027. UK, remote based. Day rate and IR35 determination being confirmed.
A major UK financial services organisation is running an optimisation programme across a live Oracle Cloud HCM estate. Payroll runs inside the same tenant, and the dependencies reach into finance systems, integrations, reporting platforms and downstream applications. They want one person to own the route to live end to end.
The environment approach across development, SIT, UAT and production, and the cross-system plan that maps Oracle HCM environments to every connected application and interface. You decide what gets into a controlled environment and what does not, which means holding the gate against project change, business as usual change, regulatory change and vendor change at the same time.
Integrated release planning and implementation planning. Cutover governance, rollback and contingency, and post-implementation validation. Retrofit governance, so configuration, code and integrations stay aligned across environments and releases.
Alignment of Oracle's quarterly updates with the programme's own releases, payroll cut-offs and testing cycles. The contract window covers two mandatory Oracle updates and the March payroll year end, so the calendar is most of the job.
You work alongside project managers, product owners, architects, test managers, service management, suppliers and the change approval forums. On environments and releases, the decision is yours.
Someone who has governed a route to live on a large ERP programme in a regulated environment, rather than executed releases on one. The distinction is the whole role: we are after the person who chaired the approval forum, set the entry and exit criteria, and said no to a delivery lead under pressure.
Payroll matters more than any platform here. A payroll cut-off does not move, a parallel run either reconciles or it does not, and anyone who has never governed one will not hold the gate on one.
Oracle Cloud HCM is what the estate runs on, and knowing the quarterly update cycle from the inside is a real advantage. If your ERP background is Workday, SAP SuccessFactors or PeopleSoft and everything else here describes your work, get in touch anyway.
Financial services, or another regulated sector, because the audit trail and the approval evidence are half of what gets handed over at the end.
Remote based, UK. Six months from 1 October 2026. The organisation is named at the first conversation. Commercials and the IR35 determination are being confirmed and will be shared before any interview.
