What’s the job:

The primary purpose of the Relationship Manager, Broker (Western Canada), is to ensure that TFG meets its financial goals. This role will identify, originate, build, and manage a network of referral sources comprised of financial intermediaries (brokers) in the equipment finance industry. Within tolerances, the role will generate leads aligned with risk appetite, including acceptance rates and conversion efficiency. The role will provide ongoing support while maintaining and promoting an exceptional customer service environment.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Act as an ambassador by developing and maintaining a positive company image by interacting with external and internal customers 
  • Be a role model who serves as a positive example to others externally and internally 
  • Execute strategies and tactics that will boost the company image and meet or exceed the needs of our customers while converting new business that is in line with our returns and risk appetite 
  • Execute business development plans to achieve or exceed targets including application, mix of business and net to finance mix 
  • Solicit and onboard new financial intermediaries (broker) relationships and sign a program agreement 
  • Grow originations from existing key brokers by increasing share of wallet and year-over-year growth 
  • Build long-term relationships with financial intermediaries (brokers) 
  • Work quickly to address and resolve customer issues 
  • Monitor deal flow and address any issues
  • Train financial intermediaries (brokers) on new and existing product offerings (rates, terms and collateral requirements)
  • Provide ongoing communication about new programs (i.e. pricing) 
  • Document and update competitors’ products and services compared to TFG to be par and/or advanced 
  • Perform other job-related duties as required to meet organizational needs

What you bring:

  • Results-driven and action-oriented
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office products
  • 5+ years of equipment leasing/finance experience 
  • 3+ years of outside sales experience in the equipment leasing/financing sector
  • Post-secondary diploma or bachelor’s degree is an asset
