This position is responsible for the immediate and long term sales growth and profitability of the Bioventus portfolio in the assigned
geography. The role will recommend and implement sales strategies and tactics that deliver and exceed against the business' financial
targets, business strategy and product focus. The role is responsible for the management and development of the Bioventus sales team
within the assigned region.
  • Create and manage the annual regional business plan in line with the national & international strategy and deliver updates every month to line manager and team

  • Create Territory Manager annual and quarterly sales targets in line with national and international strategy.

  • Oversee development and execution of individual sales representative territory business plans and sales pipeline. Detect deviations from the plan and swiftly implement actions to remedy.

  • Maintain and prove ability to forecast business performance on monthly, quarterly and annual level for overall Region and key accounts as stated in the Regional Business Plan.

  • Lead regional team to achieve and exceed sales targets to maximize profit and revenue of the organization by presenting and selling company products and services to current and potential customers

  • Ensures adherance to budget standards and guidelines.

  • Collaboration with Marketing, Market Access, Customer Care & Finance to ensure opportunities are maximized and execution of the business is effective and efficient

  • Deliver powerful, meaningful and engaging sales team meetings to help drive a collaborative, learning and team environment.

  • Prepare, administer and control expense budgets as part of overall profits

  • Responsibility for attracting, hiring, developing and retaining sales talent within the region

  • Identify and participate in key regional conferences and seminars where appropriate

  • Manage regional events budget

  • Champion Medical Education as a lever for product adoption

  • Develop KOL’s within the region

  • Drive local med-ed through Peer-to-Peer meetings.

  • Contribute and support national marketing plans and activities

  • Analyse & recommend pricing strategies

  • Maintain strong relationships with direct team

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders (Sales Director, Customer Care, Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing, Market Access)

  • Develop and maintain effective and enduring relationships with key customers across all levels including assigned National Groups

  • Develop and maintain KOL relationships

  • Maintain a high level of knowledge on represented and competitive products.

  • Show strong understanding of regional health care environment and reimbursement pathways.

  • Understand and recruit Market Access as required to help develop the business

  • Team with reimbursement resources to expand guidelines and improve ASP within Regional boundaries;

  • Direct Market Access specialist to aid in the progression of the Market Access Process within your Region with your team members.

  • Provide recognition to members of the team executing desired behaviors and achieving/exceeding performance targets through a monthly call or newsletter to the team.

  • Coach and manage performance of direct reports, ensure focus on functional and company objectives.

  • Mitigate regrettable losses and retain top talent developing a best-in-class sales force;

  • Conduct full performance management cycle.

  • Identify training gaps and implement plan to support development

Additional Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required and Masters level preferred

  • Dynamic, proactive, results-oriented leadership with well-developed communication skills;

  • Hands on” management style; adaptable to a fast-paced, high-growth, changing environment;

  • Good business sense - an understanding of how sales / marketing ties into the profitability of a company;

  • Ability to interpret financial and clinical data;

  • Fluent in English and have local market knowledge.

  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience in sales/sales management

  • Relevant role/business to business industry experience: preferred medical device, pharma, biotech or life sciences, experience with NHS and private hospitals. This should include proven success in achieving sales objectives in a variety of distribution structures and product segments.

  • Experience of working in a fast paced individual and team environment.

  • Dynamic, aggressive, results-oriented leadership with well-developed communication skills;

  • Demonstrated computer experience with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point. 

  • Sales data analytics experience desired

  • Overall ability to problem solve and generate solutions to advance needed work;

  • Must be a self-starter and able to work independently to progress projects

  • Travel 75%
