Job Mission: 
To profitably grow Automation sales and market share and achieve sales targets in the regional area. To have an ambition to grow the business organically with its present scope of profitably or above according to potential and targets and to suggest possible acquisition to grow the business inorganically. 
 
Key Responsibilities:

Market Growth & Sales Strategy
  • Develop and implement structured sales strategies to optimize market share.
  • Execute Piab’s Full Potential Plan (FFP) & Sales Acceleration Program (SAP).
  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, including potential acquisitions

Sales Team Leadership & Development
  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing regional sales team.
  • Implement talent development programs including onboarding and continuous coaching.
  • Foster a strong team-oriented sales culture.

Sales Process Optimization & Performance Management
  • Implement customer prioritization strategies (CPP, OEM & RI programs).
  • Establish metrics and track sales efficiency by individual, team, region, and channel.
  • Ensure sales data integrity and real-time updates within Salesforce.
  • Implementation of a Sales Excellence Process to Attain Best-in-Class Sales Efficiency

Market Intelligence & Competitive Strategy
  • Conduct regular market analysis, providing insights on industry trends, segmentation, and competitor activities.
  • Ensure proactive strategic positioning to maintain Piab’s competitive edge

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Financial Oversight
  • Work closely with marketing, operations, finance, and People & Culture managers to drive cohesion and alignment.
  • Manage regional profit and loss (P&L) effectively.
  • Influence product development strategies to align with market needs.

Customer & Channel Management
  • Optimize customer relationships through effective account management strategies.
  • Support multi-brand initiatives and ensure consistent customer engagement.
 
Business Travel & Executive-Level Engagement
  • Represent Piab at key industry events, customer meetings, and strategic discussions.
  • Engage in frequent travel across North America to support regional business growth.
 
Performance Indicators: 
  • Revenue & Market Growth: Achieve or exceed annual and long-term sales targets.
  • Sales Productivity & Efficiency: Measured by customer acquisition, retention, and performance metrics.
  • Financial Performance: P&L management and achievement against budget targets.
  • Talent Stability: Regional employee retention and growth in leadership development.

  • Strong Organizational skills: Adept at multitasking, prioritizing and ensuring timely reporting

Skills and Abilities:
  • Bilingual Advantage: Fluency in English required; French is a plus (Canada)
  • Ability to deliver results under pressure 
  • Financial Expertise: Ability to understand financial data and drive profitable growth
  • Sales and Leadership Acumen: Strategically driven with a tactical execution mindset. You should seamlessly transition between strategic thinking, aligned with key business objectives, and tactical execution in daily operations. Additionally, you must effectively translate these responsibilities to your team, ensuring alignment and anchoring the agenda to drive collective success.
  • Leadership skills. As Team-Leader, you will lead different personalities. This requires strong leadership skills and capabilities to make people cooperate.   
  • Customer-Centric Focus: Passion for customers engagement and industry knowledge; You should have a genuine interest in the divisional businesses and customers to develop insight-led assets and communication. 

Experience and Educational Background: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management/Engineering or completed professional education in the commercial field < 6 years 
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills 
  • Technical background is a plus 
  • Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters 
  • Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening 
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively 
  • Professional English skills 
  • Understanding of the lifting market and its players 
  • Familiar with the digital communication tools such as SEO, SoME, Inbound marketing, Direct Account Marketing etc.
