Regional Facilities Manager - US West

This position helps provide and maintain facilities which give Church members places where they can work, worship, teach, learn, pray together, make and renew covenants, and receive sacred ordinances. Each Church facility that is built and/or maintained should 

1) Provide a spiritual setting for members to worship 

2) Present an image of reverence and dignity in the community

This people manager position manages the successful implementation of Meetinghouse Facilities processes in the area (Planning, Real Estate, Standard Plans, Project Development, and Construction, Operations, and Maintenance). Responsible for the preparation, submission, and execution of the region strategy as captured in the area annual plan. Defines key personnel stewardships and accountabilities associated with the annual plan performance using key performance indicators. Formulates a personnel development plan to raise employee capability and improve performance.

Responsibilities

• Manages a region of 20+ employees comprised of facilities managers, coordinators, and mission home attendants who maintain approximately 6 million square feet across a distributed portfolio including meetinghouses, camps, mission homes and offices, seminaries, institutes, storehouses, and distribution.
• Works closely with a 3rd party provider's operations and technician personnel who support Church facilities.
• Performs operational reviews and inspections to confirm consistency and quality of service across the portfolio.
• Trains FMs and monitors KPIs to ensure performance across the region.
• Works with FMs to recommend annual CapEx and OpEx budgets to Headquarters, and then works with FMs to ensure plan performance and appropriate budget utilization.
• Supports area initiatives, and makes recommendations for improvements.
• Assists other divisions with natural disasters and emergencies.
• Extensive work in computer systems (including Corrigo) and IWMS tools.
• Works with other departments and other area divisions including the real estate, architecture and engineering, construction, and strategic planning
• Responsible, in partnership with HR, to hire personnel and recommend advancement, promotion or any other change of status of employees within their reporting line.

Percentage of each responsibility to be set by management.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, facilities management or related area.
• Ten (10) years of experience in construction management and physical facilities administration.
• Five (5) years of significant supervisory/management experience.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, solid leadership skills, excellent trainer, with the ability to formulate strategy required.
• Must understand all processes and ensure end-to-end process integration.
• To successfully perform the essential functions of the job there may be physical requirements which need to be met such as sitting for long periods of time and using computer monitors/equipment
