Job Title: Region Account Manager – Grocery Central
Location: Remote but must live near major airport in the Central US; No relocation

Job Summary:
The Region Account Manager – Grocery Northeast will lead the development and execution of strategic initiatives to drive revenue growth and market share within the Grocery and Natural channel. This role requires a deep understanding of the CPG industry and the unique dynamics of the Grocery market. Candidates MUST HAVE experience with and access to key retailers in the Grocery and Natural space. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a proven track record of channel development, while demonstrating the ability to foster collaborative partnerships with key accounts and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Sales Leadership
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for the Grocery channel to achieve revenue, profitability, and growth targets.
- Identify and prioritize market opportunities, aligning resources to maximize impact and return on investment.
- Lead the creation and execution of promotional strategies and programs tailored to the Grocery environment.
Account Management and Development
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key Grocery customers, including national and regional chains in both Conventional and Natural.
- Collaborate with account teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet customer needs and drive mutual growth.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms while fostering long-term partnerships.
Market and Competitive Analysis
- Analyze market trends, customer data, and competitive activities to identify growth opportunities and refine sales strategies.
- Monitor performance metrics and adjust tactics to ensure the achievement of sales and profitability goals.
- Stay informed on industry innovations and Grocery consumer behavior to maintain a competitive edge.
Team Leadership and Development
- Demonstrate the aptitude to manage and mentor a team of sales professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and high performance.
- As the channel grows, provide coaching and development opportunities to future new headcount to enhance team skills and advance career growth.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with marketing, product development, and supply chain teams to align Grocery strategies with overall business objectives.
- Provide market insights to guide product innovation and ensure alignment with customer and consumer needs.
- Work closely with finance to set and manage budgets, pricing strategies, and promotional investments.
Performance Reporting and Forecasting
- Deliver regular updates to senior leadership on sales performance, market conditions, and strategic initiatives.
- Develop accurate forecasts and provide input into business planning processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 3-5 years of experience in sales, with a focus on the Grocery channel in the CPG industry.
- Proven ability to build and execute successful sales strategies within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building abilities.
- Proficiency in TPM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and data analysis tools.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
