Recruiting and Talent Specialist  -  REMOTE

Role and Responsibilities

The Recruiting and Talent Specialist is responsible for attracting suitable candidates for open job positions and assessing their relevant knowledge, talent, and experience. This individual remains up to date on the requirements of the various positions in the company and acts as an advocate for new and established employees. The Recruiting and Talent Specialist is also responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with the HR Specialists. Specific duties include:

• Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process for all positions.
• Attracts suitable candidates through databases, online employment forums, social media, etc.
• Builds Talent Pipeline and manages relationships with candidates for all potential positions.
• Posts job requisitions, screens applications, and selects qualified candidates.
• Assesses applicant’s knowledge, skills, and experience to best suit open positions.
• Collaborates with department managers to evaluate department needs and assess potential candidates.
• Schedules and leads job interviews.  Arranges meeting locations, travel, and/or accommodations for applicants and company managers when necessary.
• Collects and analyzes data to maintain current understanding of fair and competitive market salaries, candidate availability, and demand for candidates in particular fields.
• Screens candidates, selects qualified and interested candidates for the interviewing phase, and then connects viable candidates with clients or hiring managers.
• Checks candidates references and credentials, verifying experience and backgrounds.
• Organizes and attends job fairs, campus events, and other networking opportunities.
• Follows up with hiring managers after the interview process to determine whether a placement can be made; collects feedback when placement is unsuccessful.
• Maintains and ensures compliance with applicable equal employment opportunity (EEO) and related employment laws and regulations.
• Partners with the Director of HR on offers and employment negotiations.
• Identifies current and future hiring needs and develops job descriptions.
• Collects data for and participates in monthly headcount meetings.
• Promotes the company’s reputation positively and represents an attractive employment opportunity.
• Abide by all obligations under HIPAA related to Protected Health Information (PHI).
• If a HIPAA violation is discovered, whether individually or by another, you must report the violation to the Compliance Officer and/or Human Resources.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with aptitude in conducting interviews.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities yet does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

• This is a full-time, salaried position.
• Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 8:00AM to 5:00PM CT.  We cover clients from West to East Coast, work times must be adjusted to cover meetings in all time zones.  Ability to work extended hours, weekends and holidays pursuant with industry demands.

Travel

The Recruiting and HR Specialist could experience minimal overnight travel of up to 5% of the time if attending and participating job fairs, recruiting events, and limited visits to the Natchitoches offices. 

Required Education and Experience

• 1-2 years in Human Resources, Talent Management/Recruiting, or similar experience.

Preferred Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
