Recruiter

Talon Hiring Solutions is seeking a motivated, results-driven Recruiter to join our growing team in Birmingham, AL. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, identifying top talent, and connecting qualified candidates with opportunities across a variety of industries. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

*Must be located in the greater Birmingham, AL area*

What You’ll Do:

• Source and identify qualified candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, referrals, networking, and other recruiting channels.
• Review resumes and conduct phone screens to assess candidates’ experience, qualifications, communication skills, and interest.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future opportunities.
• Partner with hiring managers and clients to understand job requirements, priorities, and candidate expectations.
• Present qualified candidates to clients with concise, professional summaries highlighting relevant experience and qualifications.
• Coordinate interviews, gather feedback, and maintain communication with candidates throughout the hiring process.
• Manage multiple open positions while prioritizing recruiting activities to meet placement goals and client deadlines.
• Maintain accurate candidate records, recruiting activity, and pipeline updates in the applicant tracking system.
• Provide a positive candidate experience through timely communication, professionalism, and follow-through.
• Develop an understanding of client needs, industry trends, and local talent markets.

What You’ll Bring:

• 2+ years in recruiting, staffing or high volume recruiting experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to effectively screen candidates and evaluate qualifications against job requirements.
• A proactive approach to sourcing, networking, and building candidate relationships.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
• Experienced using recruiting technology, applicant tracking systems, LinkedIn, Indeed and other sourcing tools
• A collaborative mindset, professional demeanor, and desire to contribute to team success.
