The Role
The purpose of your role is to own and evolve our automated test infrastructure - making sure every code change is validated fast, every release is safe to ship, and our QA team's energy goes toward finding real problems rather than repeating the same checks manually..
Tech Skills
Playwright for end-to-end and API test automation
Jest or Vitest for unit testing
Java is part of your stack
Azure DevOps - building and maintaining CI/CD pipeline integrations
Comfortable with a MERN stack environment (MongoDB, Express, React, Node)
What you'll do
Communicate clearly with developers and Business Analysts without being a blocker
You care about the product, not just the coverage metric
You understand that the goal is not to automate everything, it is to automate the right things, reduce release risk, and make quality visible early.
A reliable automated regression suite across unit, API, and UI layers, integrated into CI/CD and trusted by the team before every release.
Fast, reliable feedback that developers can act on without waiting for manual sign-off
A foundation that frees the QA team to focus on exploratory and edge case testing
Clear documentation so the framework grows with the team, not around one person
Additional Responsibilities
Triage automation-identified defects and support the wider team in doing the same.
Own a balanced test strategy across unit, API, integration, and E2E layers.
Partner with developers on testable acceptance criteria before work ships.
Maintain reusable utilities, fixtures, and documentation so the suite is easy to extend.
Surface test gaps, flaky tests, and quality trends to support release confidence.
