The Junior Project Manager supports the successful delivery of business and technology initiatives by assisting with project planning, coordination, reporting, governance, and stakeholder engagement activities. Working under the direction of senior project leaders, this role helps ensure project deliverables are completed on schedule, risks and issues are proactively managed, and governance processes are maintained. The Junior Project Manager also plays a key role in program reporting by consolidating and validating information across multiple workstreams and releases, enabling accurate and timely communication to leadership and governance forums. This position is ideal for an early-career professional looking to build project management expertise in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Maintain integrated project plans, schedules, milestones, and delivery timelines across multiple workstreams.
Identify, document, track, and support the resolution of cross-stream dependencies through the program dependency register.
Perform dependency mapping and critical path analysis to identify schedule risks and support proactive issue resolution.
Facilitate stakeholder discussions to resolve dependencies, risks, issues, and delivery challenges.
Support the development and maintenance of project plans, work breakdown structures, and delivery schedules.
Coordinate project meetings, workshops, and stakeholder engagements, ensuring actions and decisions are documented and tracked.
Maintain project governance artifacts, including status reports, RAID logs, and decision registers.
Collect, validate, and consolidate inputs from project teams to produce accurate and timely reporting for leadership and governance forums.
Monitor project risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies, and decisions, supporting mitigation and escalation activities as required.
Prepare dashboards, executive reporting materials, meeting minutes, and governance documentation.
Collaborate with business, technical, and vendor teams to track deliverables and support successful project execution.
Experience with Microsoft Project for developing and maintaining project schedules, integrated plans, milestones, and dependencies.
Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) for tracking work, delivery progress, dependencies, and project activities.
Experience managing RAID logs, including tracking risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies, actions, and owners.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Teams, and SharePoint; and familiarity with Power BI or similar reporting and visualization tools.
Experience producing executive-level status reports and dashboards, including the ability to collect, validate, consolidate, and present information from multiple sources in a clear and visually consistent format.
Understanding of project governance practices, including maintaining decision logs and ensuring decisions are accurately documented, communicated, and followed through.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex project and program information into clear, actionable summaries for diverse audiences.
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities and recurring reporting deadlines.
Effective stakeholder coordination and relationship management skills, with the ability to obtain inputs, drive accountability, and maintain reporting discipline across multiple teams.
