Project Coordinator- Cybersecurity Campaigns (REMOTE)

Koniag Data Solutions, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Coordinator- Cybersecurity Campaigns. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for an early-career professional looking to build experience in project coordination, communications, and campaign management within a federal government environment. In this role, you will coordinate campaign activities, support stakeholder communications, and help ensure all deliverables are tracked and completed on schedule across a structured, multi-channel awareness program. This position requires the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance to support our government customer. This is a full-time Remote position with core hours from 9AM EST to 5PM EST, Monday to Friday.

The Project Coordinator- Cybersecurity Campaigns will support the coordination and execution of a federal cybersecurity awareness campaign program, assisting with campaign planning, stakeholder communication, timeline tracking, and content management from development through final publication. Working under the direction of a program or project manager, this individual will help ensure that all campaign activities remain on schedule, all stakeholders are informed, and all deliverables are routed, reviewed, approved, and released in accordance with the program's communications and engagement schedule.

Principal responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Support coordination of all CyberCARE campaign activities from initial planning through final publication, helping to ensure all components are developed, reviewed, approved, and released on schedule in alignment with the weekly campaign communications and engagement schedule.
• Assist in maintaining project plans, schedules, and tracking documentation for all campaign deliverables, including videos, e-blasts, knowledge checks, polls, surveys, infographics, digital signage assets, and physical posters.
• Track all content assets through each stage of the production lifecycle, including review, revision, approval, and release, and flag scheduling risks or delays to the program or project manager.
• Support the content review and approval process, including distributing materials to stakeholders, tracking feedback and revision cycles, and confirming final approvals prior to publication.
• Help coordinate 508 compliance reviews for all campaign materials, ensuring accessibility requirements are met prior to publication across all channels.
• Assist with coordination between contractor and program staff to support the video production process, including communicating timelines, tracking production milestones, and obtaining final YouTube links for integration across campaign channels such as e-blasts.
• Support coordination with intranet and digital signage teams to help ensure homepage tile cards, digital signage assets, kiosk materials, and physical posters are published and displayed in alignment with the campaign schedule.
• Assist with scheduling and coordination of engagement posts and webpage updates in accordance with the weekly campaign engagement schedule.
• Monitor and manage the program resource mailbox, triaging incoming requests and inquiries, routing communications to appropriate team members, and flagging items requiring timely response.
• Provide scheduling and logistics support for stakeholder meetings, including preparing agendas, taking notes, and distributing action items following meetings.
• Assist in preparing status updates and project documentation to keep stakeholders informed of campaign progress, upcoming milestones, and open action items.
• Help maintain a central campaign tracking repository, including a master schedule, deliverable log, review status tracker, and distribution record for all campaign components.
• Support coordination of other Awareness and Training Program communications as needed throughout the program year.

Education and Experience:

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Information Technology, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
• 0–2 years of experience in project coordination, marketing support, communications, campaign management, or a related role.
• Internship, coursework, or academic project experience involving coordination, communications, or campaign support will be considered in lieu of professional experience.

Preferred:

• Prior internship or work experience supporting a marketing, communications, or awareness campaign.
• Experience in marketing campaigns, even in an internship or student capacity.

Required Skills and Competencies:

• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to track multiple concurrent deliverables and meet deadlines.
• Effective written and oral communication skills in English, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with team members and stakeholders.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint, for scheduling, tracking, and documentation tasks.
• Ability to follow established processes and workflows for content review, approval routing, and publication coordination.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify gaps, track open items, and follow through to resolution.
• Willingness to learn and apply federal accessibility standards, including Section 508 compliance requirements, with guidance from senior team members.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment under the direction of a program or project manager.
• Ability to obtain Public Trust Clearance.

Desired Skills and Competencies:

• Familiarity with project management concepts, tools, or methodologies, including basic scheduling and task tracking.
• Exposure to or interest in cybersecurity awareness, federal communications programs, or government IT environments.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Viva Engage, SharePoint, or similar enterprise collaboration and communication platforms.
• Experience with or interest in digital marketing, content management, or multi-channel communications campaigns.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Forms or similar tools used for surveys, knowledge checks, or audience engagement.
• Exposure to plain language writing principles or federal communications standards.
• Coursework or certification in project management, marketing, or communications (e.g., CAPM, Google Project Management Certificate, HubSpot Content Marketing Certification).
