The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for a Project Coordinator in our Certification team within the Quality Outcomes Research and Analytics (QORA) department. This position can be home-based.

Responsibilities

The Project Coordinator supports the successful delivery of healthcare certification programs through project coordination, operational support, and program administration. This role works closely with internal teams, healthcare organizations, volunteers, and external partners to coordinate activities, maintain program resources, support program events, and ensure a high-quality customer experience.

  • Provides a wide variety of skilled logistical, administrative, clerical and data management support ensuring all programs run efficiently. Ensure a high quality of service is provided to all staff, volunteers, and other external and internal customers.
  • Coordinate and monitor certification program activities, projects, and operational processes.
  • Support communications and provide customer service to healthcare organizations, volunteers for participation, and stakeholders.
  • Assist with webinars, meetings, conferences, and other events.
  • Maintain program records, documentation, and reporting systems.
  • Utilize vendor and/or internal systems for sales, finance and awards efficiently and competently to complete duties/projects.
  • Support volunteer committees and cross-functional teams to achieve program goals.
  • Identify and support process improvements that enhance program effectiveness and customer experience.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent. Some college or BA in Communications, Business, Marketing or related areas is a plus.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in project coordination, program administration, or operations support.
  • Effective interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to develop collaborative working relationships internally and externally.
  • Ability to coordinate and manage multiple projects from beginning to end, simultaneously, without supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Intermediate skills in using AI tools such as Co-Pilot.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work assignments, be flexible in scheduling tasks, and manage time effectively.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, including those needed in writing, editing, and interacting by telephone and in meetings.

 

Compensation & Benefits

The expected pay range will be $45,000 to $55,000. Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials to the pay range may apply.
