AI Summary

You will coordinate cross-functional teams by maintaining project boards, tracking timelines, and ensuring alignment across engineering, marketing, and operations. Additionally, you will facilitate standups and syncs while proactively identifying risks and blockers to keep projects on track.

We're hiring a Project Coordinator / Associate Project Manager to help keep our cross-functional teams aligned and projects on track as we push toward public launch.

Summary

  • Flexible Title: Can tailor to reflect your skills & experience.
  • Flexible Time: Can do full-time, part-time, side-gig (off-hours), or fractional (contract).
  • Flexible Commitment: Can do short-term, long-term, or intermittent.

Why so flexible? We're a FUNDED startup racing toward launch. Feel free to jump in, help us ship, then bounce >> or stick around. A successful launch translates into lots of permanent jobs for those that want them. We're also interested in long-term "side gig" relationships, if that's what you're into—in our experience, a few expert hours often beat full-time learning-curve hours.

About Us

We're a credible, funded, remote-first startup backed by a growing team. We're pre-launch and moving fast.

About The Role

We have a lot of moving pieces — engineering sprints, marketing campaigns, hiring, partnerships, fundraising — and we need someone who can make sure all those pieces stay coordinated. You'll track timelines, follow up on action items, run standups and syncs, maintain project boards, and be the person who always knows what's on track and what's slipping.

This isn't about telling people what to do. It's about making sure the right information gets to the right people at the right time, deadlines are visible, and nothing falls through the cracks. If you get satisfaction from a clean project board and a meeting that ends with clear next steps, this role is for you.

Compensation

Up to $80,000 max total annual compensation in Tier 1 cities; cash and equity components to be negotiated. Given the flexible commitment model, comp will be structured accordingly — fractional or hourly arrangements welcome.

What You'll Do in Your First 7 Days

  • You've reviewed our current project management setup and understand how work is tracked
  • You've met the team leads and understand their priorities and pain points
  • You've taken ownership of at least one project board or tracker and started cleaning it up
  • You've run or observed your first standup and have a sense of the team's rhythm
  • The team knows who you are, why you're here, and how you'll work together

What You'll Do Ongoing

  • Maintain project trackers — keep boards, timelines, and task lists current so everyone knows what's happening
  • Run standups and syncs — facilitate meetings that are focused, efficient, and end with clear action items
  • Follow up on action items — track who owes what by when, and flag anything that's slipping before it becomes a problem
  • Coordinate across teams — make sure engineering, marketing, ops, and leadership are aligned on priorities and timelines
  • Surface risks early — identify blockers, dependencies, and timeline risks before they become crises

What We're Looking For

Must-haves:

  • 1-3 years in project coordination, project management, or a similar role
  • Extremely organized — you track dozens of tasks and deadlines without losing anything
  • Strong communicator — you can write a clear status update and run a focused meeting
  • Comfortable with project management tools (Asana, Monday, Notion, Jira, Trello, or similar)
  • Proactive — you follow up without being asked and flag issues early

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience in a startup or fast-moving environment
  • Familiarity with agile or sprint-based workflows
  • Background coordinating cross-functional teams (engineering + marketing + ops)
  • Comfortable in fast-moving, ambiguous environments

What You're NOT

  • Not a product manager — you're keeping projects on track, not defining what gets built
  • Not a team lead — you coordinate and facilitate, but you're not managing people
  • Not a specialist — you'll work across every team; this is a generalist coordination role
